The hike takes us through the beautiful Emajõe-Suursoo bog, where we spend the night in the wilderness on a secluded bog island. In the evening, we will prepare dinner on a camp stove, using as many seasonal forest products as possible. We will spend the night in hanging beds with a magnificent view of the sunrise! In the morning, we will have a light meal, take down camp, and hike across the bog to the end point. A local guide leads the hike, which includes the guide's service, equipment (bog shoes, hanging bed, camp stove), and meals (breakfast and dinner). Bring your pet along! The ruins of Helme Order Castle are situated on a steep slope by the Pärnu-Valga road. The castle is thought to have been built in the first half of the 14th century. Parts of its walls with their distinctive window openings remain standing today. Legend has it that a young virgin was entombed within its walls in order to further strengthen it - whether there is any truth to the story is up to visitors to decide! Over the centuries the castle has been governed by Germans, Russians, Lithuanians and finally Swedes - who destroyed it in 1658.Did you know...?*In the valley below the castle is the Doctor's Spring, whose waters are said to cure seven different ailments.

Mesi Tare Holiday Home is a cozy place to stay in Varnja, on the shores of Lake Peipsi. Mesi Tare offers the opportunity to relax and experience life in a genuine Old Believer house, just as it has been lived in for about a hundred years, in peace and quiet on the shores of Lake Peipsi. We rent out the entire house at once. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Guests can use the ground floor of the house with a kitchenette, a fireplace room (ideal for organizing seminars and work meetings), and a Finnish sauna. The second floor of the house features a large family room, while the terrace and yard are sure to delight children. You can walk along Lake Peipsi and enjoy the sounds of nature! On the shores of Lake Võrtsjärv, you will find the Kiviranna recreation centre and its two holiday homes – TORM (STORM) and TUUL (WIND). Each house can accommodate up to six people. There is a bedroom with four single beds (extra beds can also be provided) on the first floor of both houses. On the ground floor, there is a sofa bed for two. The houses have a kitchenette and the necessary kitchenware. The living room has a TV and a stereo system, and a small library for younger and older guests alike. We recommend asking for an IGLOO SAUNA.

Veski Pub in Antsla is a great place to have a meal in north-western Võru County. The cosy pub offers delicious dishes, and there is a different daily menu from Monday to Friday. You can buy our home-baked bread or make use of our courtyard to barbecue or for the kids to enjoy themselves in the playground. Catering is available for groups, and the pub can be hired as a venue for parties, family events and other occasions.
