The Granary of Conciliation at Siksälä is located in the middle of forests and lakes, next to Lake Sika in the Vesiveski complex in Misso Parish in Võru County. The place is private – the closest urbanized area is 3.5 km away, and the neighbours include beavers, deer, wild boards, and a lot of birds. The granary is located 30 m from the Vesiveski Holiday Home, next to the Siksälä stream, and there may be guests staying at the Holiday Home.The timber granary was completed in August 2016 and it has a roof made of shingles. There is a wide double bed, a fireplace, a table, and chairs. Washing facilities and the toilet are located outside. Visitors can use a campfire site, rent a boat at Lake Sika and Lake Mustjärv, and rent a lakeside sauna for an extra charge.
Tobra Hobused riding farm is located in a beautiful place by Tobra hill. There are 16 horses on our riding farm. In winter it is possible to go on a sledge ride and in summer go on a nice carriage ride in the beautiful landscape. We offer riding courses for beginners. If you wish to celebrate an important event in our riding farm, please contact us and we will arrange everything. The legend speaks about the owner of Roosa manor, who had promised to build a church if he is saved from a shipwreck. When he had happily escaped the sea, he fulfilled his promise and the first church was built in Roosa in 1735.The current church is the third one in Roosa, built in 1893.The massive quarrystone walls have round-headed windows and brick ornaments, the tower has four sides and triangular gables. The altar-piece is a copy of the ″Christ on the Cross” from the St. Mary's Church in Rõuge and the organ is the first church organ the Kriisa brothers built in 1900.
The EELC St. Urbanus' Church in Urvaste, Võru County is one of the oldest and most unique country churches. The earliest written records date back to 1413, which means that 600 years have passed since the church was first mentioned.The church we see today – a three-naved Gothic basilica – was consecrated on 5 September 1889. The entire interior of the church also dates back to this time. In 1938, The organ was built by the Kriisa brothers in 1938, while the church bells date back to 1832.From the yellow National Geographic window on the shores of Lake Uhtjärv, you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the Urvaste church and the primeval valley of Lake Uhtjärv. The window marks one of the 21 places worthy of discovery in South-Estonia.

Each room bears the name of an artist and reflects the character of their creations. In collaboration with Mikrogalerii, we have created a vibrant art experience that extends beyond the apartment walls. You can encounter the works of these authors on the streets of Tartu and in the newly developed creative district Mikro-Venice. tARTu Apartments are an integral part of Tartu's modern art scene. All apartments have contemporary furnishings and are equipped with everything necessary, including WiFi, kitchen utensils, a French press, bed linen, and towels. The washing machine is shared. We offer contactless check-in and local recommendations to truly feel present in tARTu – not as a tourist, but as part of the culture. For us, art is a value, not a decoration. Therefore, we share 10% of our profits with the artists.
Karl Ernst von Baer was a biologist, the founder of descriptive and comparative embryology and an academician of the St Petersburg Academy of Sciences. He studied medicine in Tartu from 1810 to 1811 and obtained the degree of doctor of medicine here. He was a professor of zoology and anatomy in Königsberg from 1817. He studied anthropology, geography and ichthyology during his time in St Petersburg. He spent the last years of his life (1867-1876) in Tartu where he wrote his 3-volume collection of articles and speeches and participated in the activities of the Estonian Naturalists Society and was elected its president in 1869.The statue of Karl Ernst von Baer was completed in 1886, its author is M. Opeku.
