Rannapuura Fish Shop

Kallaste, located in southern Estonia, has been a well-known fishing town for decades, and one of the largest fish farms on Estonia's largest lake, Lake Peipsi, is located here. Lake Peipsi is one of the most fish-rich lakes in Europe, and we sell and process fish caught directly from the lake. The shop has a large selection of smoked and frozen fish and fish products guaranteed to make your mouth water. The selection includes perch fillet slices in red marinade, hot-smoked bream in oil, and tšugudai made from raw cod fillet marinated in vinegar and onion. Rannapuura Fish Shop also offers fresh fish, depending on the season!

Viewing platform at Tehvandi’s ski jumping hill

The viewing platform at Tehvandi's ski jumping hill is a unique attraction. From a height of 34 meters, watch ski jumpers training or competing or just enjoy the view. There is an entrance fee, and the platform is accessible by stairs or elevator. The viewing platform, which is part of the Tehvandi K90 ski jump complex, is 218 meters above sea level and offers a view of the city of Otepää and the surrounding landscape. The tower is the second tallest observation tower in South Estonia after the Suur Munamägi observation tower. Come and enjoy the views of the Otepää highlands in any weather!

Taevaskoda Hiking Trail

Come walk with your family on the Taevaskoda hiking trail, located in the Ahja River Valley Landscape Reserve. The trail starts from the Taevaskodade parking lot and runs circularly along both banks of Ahja River, where the outcrops of Väike and Suur Taevaskoja, caves formed by springs, and picturesque views catch your eye.At the beginning of the hiking trail, there is an information board with a map of the recreational area and the trail. On the trail, signs in Estonian, English, and Russian will help you find the way. Visitors with a wheelchair or a stroller can travel along the alternative trail to Suur Taevaskoda, length 3 km. Good to know: you can see kingfishers flying around while walking in Taevaskoda.

Männikjärv hiking trail

Männikjärv hiking trail offers wonderful views of Lake Männikjärv and the bog surrounding it. The hiking trail enables you to walk through a boreo-nemoral forest; the 2.2 km trail is suitable for a beginner. The trail is marked with red signs on trees, and it takes about 1 hour to complete it.Good to know:- During high water, parts of the bog are impassable.- For staying at Männikjärv, organising a public event for more than 20 people and driving an all-terrain vehicle, you must first apply for a permit from the manager of the protected area – Estonian Environmental Board.

Räpina beach

Räpina beach is the perfect place for a holiday and for all kinds of water sports. The favourable winds have made it a popular destination among kite-surfers and windsurfers in spring and summer. There is a viewing tower on the beach that has excellent views over the polder, to Lake Lämmijärv and across the border into Russia. The beach is lit at night.

Tehvandi health trails

This 1.2 km long health track starts from Kunimäe plateau by the main building at Tehvandi Sports Centre, where there is a gymnastics set with three different attractions, and then winds its way around Kunimäe Hill. There are seven exercise sets along the track designed to develop different muscle groups and balance. The track is marked by green tape.

Kick sledge trip to the uninhabited Salosaar

The uninhabited Salosaar is located in Lämmijärv, about 1.5 km from the mouth of River Võhandu. It is one of the thirty islands of Lake Peipus. The island is special thanks to its nature, history, and the fact that Lake Pskov starts at the eastern coast of the island. This means that during one trip, you can visit two lakes!The guided Robinsonade to Salosaar and back lasts for about two hours. During it, we will move on the lake with kicksleds and stop on the island. We will explore a colony of cormorants, take a look at Russia, see an old farm and the German line of defence, and admire the view from the high shore of the island.More information is available on our website.

Kavilda Valley

Kavilda Valley is one of the most beautiful natural objects in Tartu County. The Kavild River a flows in the valley. Sandstone outcrops and springs can be seen in some places. The Kavilda sacrificial spring at the edge of the Tartu-Viljandi road is the best known of them. The valley starts near Elva, is about 19 km long and runs into the Emajõgi lowland. The Kavilda River flows in the valley. There is a marshy meadow with reservoirs on its banks. The width of the protected part of the valley is approximately 1 km.
