The concrete frames of the pedestrian tunnels were pushed through the embankment of the railway dam – such a complex tunnelling technology was used for the first time in Estonia when renovating the intersection. The hike will last up to three hours. We will ice skate along the channels that are covered with smooth ice. We will also skate over/around flooded meadows, stop at beaver dams and otter burrows, explore animal tracks on the snow, and admire Lake Peipus as well. In the middle of the hike, we will take a short break to drink tea and have a bite to eat. If it is allowed to go on Lake Peipus at the time of the hike, we will skate back along the shore of Lake Peipus. The hike is for adults!Participants will receive the hiking skates (attached to your boots), poles, and ice awls. NB! Bring your ID-card.

August Teppo was a famous accordionist of Võru County. Today, his home farm has been turned into a museum. Visitors can see his workshop, as well as learn about the lifestyle typical of the era. In addition to the exhibition, the museum also organises trainings and cultural events.Good to know: the museum is only open to visitors upon booking during the summer months.

The Museum of Tuglas is the childhood home of Friedebert Tuglas, born on 2 March 1886. Tuglas became a well-known writer for his novel Väike Illimar (Little Illimar) written in 1932. The story of the little Illimar is at the same time the story of a manor in Estonia. Places related to Friedebert Tuglas and the Little Illimar are displayed on a large map, which is also exhibited in the museum. Spatial exposition provides background information for the guests who visit the places related to the novel and learn about the everyday life of the manor house.

Obinitsa Church was built deep in the Soviet era: 1952, when the country was led by Comrade Stalin. The people's desire for a new sanctuary (the old church was given to the school) was so great, that it bypassed the politics of the day. The Obinitsa Church's main holiday is 19 August - The Feast of the Transfiguration - and thousands of people visit the church that day to remember their ancestors and spend time with a relatives. People have been buried in Obinitsa Cemetery for at least 1,500 years. The oldest burials are marked by small stones located in the western part of the cemetery. The well-known Seto singer Hilana Taarka and the creator of the Obinitsa Museum, Lidia Sillaots, are buried in this park-like cemetery.
