Tavern ‘Lühikeste meeste kõrts’ can accommodate about 50 women and men, but mind your head when you enter the room. Our meals are homemade and popular across the village. Tomato, cucumber, and other vegetables are local, as are eggs and fish. Drinks are not local, but they are still excellent. The tavern is suitable for various events. Upon pre-booking, we also offer group catering, where several dishes are traditional. You can also order catering and an evening host from us.

A smoke sauna is a traditional Estonian sauna that doesn't have a chimney. The fire heats the stones, and the smoke fills the surrounding room. After the sauna is heated, the smoke is let out through the door before the sauna-goers enter. At Ööbikuoru Villa's smoke sauna, you can take your time and cleanse your body and soul while enjoying peace and quiet. The sauna steam room can accommodate up to six people, and some visitors can enjoy the hot tub at the same time. If you wish to stay overnight, you can stay in the romantically furnished rooms at Ööbikuoru Villa.

Karula National Park is Estonia's smallest national park, characterized by a hilly landscape rich in lakes, with 60 lakes on the highland. The national park is open to everyone: families, backpackers, and nature enthusiasts, offering various opportunities for relaxation and hiking. At the visitor center located by Lake Ähijärv, you can get information about the opportunities available in the national park, and the permanent exhibition there introduces the history, nature, folk culture of the Karula region, as well as the modern lifestyle. The heart of the national park is Lake Ähijärv, which is ideal for boating, swimming, and enjoying nature. Hiking enthusiasts are awaited by well-maintained trails that lead through forests, wooded meadows, and hilly landscapes, offering views unique to Karula. Popular destinations include the Rebäse hiking trail, Lüllemäe observation tower, and Kaika hillocks, which offer a great view of the rolling landscape. The national park has plenty of camping and bonfire sites, as well as natural swimming spots, making it suitable for both day trips and longer vacations.

They seem like ordinary plastic kayaks and are just as easy to control.They can comfortably accommodate 2 adults and one child as well as equipment. They are perfect for overnight water trips or longer day trips on water bodies. It is easy to roll them up and place them in your car. The Church of Blessed Virgin Mary in Põlva is one of the oldest churches in historical Võrumaa. The rarities of the church are the old altar painting The Last Supper (1650) and the altar panels (1647). There is an altar painting The Resurrection (Friedrich Ludwig von Maydell, 1845). The church was originally a square-shaped hall church with three naves. Today it has preserved from it a high tower with a deep niche and a Western façade. Interesting to know: According to a legend, the key of the church is held by a kneeling girl called Mary who is walled in. Allegedly that is also the origin of the name of the church and Põlva (‘knee’ for the Estonian ‘põlv’).

Kullipera Holiday Home is located in Haanja, Võru County. We offer accommodation in a beautiful, peaceful place where families with children or groups of friends are welcome. It is possible to rent the more spacious party-seminar hall (for up to approx. 20 people) to organize birthdays, seminars, workshops, and other events. The main farmhouse has three bedrooms (for 10 people), a shared living room-kitchen, and a shower room. The sauna house, with two bedrooms for up to six people, can also be rented in the summer. Three camping cabins can accommodate up to 10 people in spring and summer. Additional facilities include breakfast (by prior arrangement), bicycle rental, a camping area, a grill area, sauna, disc golf, and a winter tubing track.

The upper reaches of the Võhandu River, otherwise known as the Pühajõgi River, are ideal for canoeing if the water is a little higher than the summer average. The natural environment in the area is diverse and interesting, sometimes offering expansive views, other times hemmed in on both sides by trees and forests. There are parts of the river that are rockier and more like rapids, reminiscent of the Ahja River. Here and there you might come across beavers and kingfishers.The trip can be extended by starting from the village of Vidrike and crossing the 11 lakes that make up the Kooraste chain. If you choose this option you can make your hike a two-day one, camping overnight on the shore of Lake Suurjärv.
