The Toompood is located on the first floor of the University of Tartu Museum. The museum shop sells books about Toomemäe and Tartu Cathedral, the University of Tartu today and in the past, and scientific achievements, in addition to souvenirs, jewelry, and much more. Design and science enthusiasts can find lovely souvenirs in the museum shop as keepsakes for themselves or gifts for loved ones. The selection includes jewelry created by local designers, toys, and souvenirs with a message suitable for culture enthusiasts. For those with a sweet tooth, we offer handmade chocolate and honey. There are souvenirs in every price range, and many of the products are Estonian.

Tartu Art House is the home of the Tartu Artists’ Union and the heart of the city's art scene. It's not just a gallery room; it's a vibrant meeting place where creativity, diverse perspectives, and the spirit of an era meet. Art House is an important cultural node that brings together Estonian and international artists – known top performers, bold new talents, and, of course, all art lovers – on a regular basis. In three distinctive galleries, exhibitions alternate frequently, offering viewers something new and inspiring at every visit. Various forms of contemporary art are represented. Curators' offices, discussions, and meetings with artists help to gain a deeper understanding of the work on display and bring art closer to visitors for a more personal experience. All exhibitions and excursions are free for visitors. It is also possible to participate in practical workshops. Between Hellenurme, Elva, and Otepää, there is a unique opportunity to see Estonia's last historical water-powered flour and grist mill in operation – the Hellenurme Water Mill. Upon arrival, we explore the mill building and views over the mill pond to Hellenurme Manor, then we open the turbine, and the mill begins to work, powered by water. Through the mill's four floors, you can see, touch, and feel the power of the mill, and soon fresh flour and grist fall into the bag as in the old days. In the bread house, you can try breadmaking under the guidance of the Mill Mistress, honoring traditions and telling stories about bread and the wisdom of ancestors. In the bread trough, dough is kneaded from sourdough. Each guest molds their own little loaf from a dough ball, which the Mill Mistress throws into the large bread oven with an old bread peel. Soon, the bread house fills with the smell of bread, and each guest can take their loaf from the oven, which tastes warm and buttery like an unforgettable dessert! As writer Juhan Liiv wrote: "... warm bread – imagine!"

The carfts and souvenir counter of Räpina Creative Centre sells the creation of local masters: a wide selection of ceramics, stained glass, greeting cards, albums and notebooks, candles, textile items, jewellery and many other interesting items. We also accept custom orders. If you would like to craft something yourself, then groups can participate in various workshops that need to be booked in advance.

The Mõniste Museum is the oldest open-air museum in Estonia; here you can light a fire in a Stone Age tepee or practice archery, slinging or lassoing. You can also learn how to make bone and earthenware objects, weave fishing nets and fabric, grind grain or bake a loaf of Stone Age bread. The threshing barn dating back to Czarist times features the interior of the 19th century building, tools, household utensils and clothing. The farmhouse from the times of the first Republic of Estonia exhibits the tools that blacksmiths used, horse necessaries, handicraft tools, national costumes, folk music instruments, etc. You can also try what farm works felt like at that time.

Nõunõu studio shop is dedicated to creating ceramics with clear form and colour. When strolling in the Old Town of Tartu, make sure to visit Nõunõu: here, you will find both unique tableware and modern art. The handcrafted ceramics is characterised by clear geometric lines and minimalist use of paint.You can also buy the items as a gift.In addition to opening hours, the studio shop is also open by prior arrangement.Welcome!

On the Onion Route, you can participate in an Old Believers' cooking workshop that introduces the region's traditional foods and preparation methods. The workshop selection includes onion pies with boiled sugar or making and decorating cookies. The instructor is Natalja Rästas, the first onion pie master of the Onion Route, who demonstrates cooking techniques, shares her recipes, and helps each participant follow along step by step. At the end of the workshop, all prepared dishes can be sampled on-site or taken home. The workshops take place in the classroom of the Kolkja Old Believers Museum. The room accommodates up to 15 participants; for larger groups, a suitable alternative can be arranged in advance. To ensure the desired time, it is advisable to book the workshop at least three working days in advance. Additionally, it is possible to order a guided tour of the museum alongside the workshop, which provides an overview of the history, lifestyle, and traditions of the Old Believers, giving the workshop greater depth and context.
