A permaculture community garden Emajõe Aed

Emajõe Aed, located by the River Emajõgi, is a public permaculture community garden. Permaculture is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly way of cultivating land, and the aim of the Emajõe Aed is to introduce permaculture and urban gardening to townspeople, enrich the diversity of urban nature, and enliven the urban space.We grow food together in the garden, following the principles of permaculture, and those who wish can become community gardeners. All visitors can explore the garden on their own, and we can also organise excursions in the garden for those who are interested.During the gardening season, public workshops, campfire evenings, and other events take place regularly in the garden.

Põltsamaa guest apartment

A comfortable guest apartment with a sauna, located in the centre of Põltsamaa. We offer accommodation for shorter and longer periods.The guest apartment has a living room, a kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a double bed, a small bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom (sauna, shower, and toilet). The fully equipped kitchen includes kitchenware and equipment. In the immediate vicinity of the apartment, there are several eateries and shops. Additionally, the apartment is close to the Põltsamaa Castle, Roosisaar (Rose Island), a culture centre, and other interesting sights.

Kasepää Old Believers’ Prayer House of the Estonian Association of Old Believers Congregations

When in Kasepää Village near Lake Peipus, go and visit the prayer house of Russian Old Believers, which has been operating without interruption since the 18th century.The current prayer house was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was designed by the governorate architect Wilhelm Schilling in 1902. The Florov school masters renewed the icons of the iconostasis in the prayer house before the Second World War. Some of the icons in the chapel date back as far as to the 17th century.Prayers are held in the chapel in Russian on Sundays at 10 a.m.

Tartu Festival Arena

Tartu Festival Arena is a concert venue for up to 15,000 people. It was opened with the 125th Song Festival in 1994. Every year, up to 20 big concerts take place here: for example, Depeche Mode, Manhattan Transfer, and José Carreras have performed here.An activity centre has been developed around the Festival Arena, with a children’s park, a skatepark, a sports park with health trails and disc-golf courses by the river. You can rent sports equipment from the park. The halls in the Festival Arena can be rented for birthdays, seminars, or dance training. A free skating rink is open in winter. Concerts are usually with tickets and entrance is for a fee.

Juhan Liiv Museum

Explore the home and inspiring work of one of Estonia's most famous writers and poets at the Juhan Liiv Museum. The museum offers interactive experiences where poetry comes to life through sound and video, highlighting the region's unique characteristics. It tells the story of Kodavere's rich cultural heritage, and in summer, you can stroll around the beautiful garden. The Liiv Museum also offers activities for children, and families are welcome to visit with their four-legged friends. You can order a guided tour introducing the museum's story if you wish. Come and let the Liiv Museum inspire you!

Kakulaane paintball

Come to Kakulaane and put yourself to the test with the athletic adventure that is paintball! Paintball can be played outdoors or in specially constructed game areas. You can choose between a range of missions - snatching your opponents' flag, defending your territory or attacking the other team's. We currently have equipment for up to 20 people, and provide our own referee. Play your cares away! Paintball is a fantastic team game.

Alatskivi Church of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church

In Alatskivi, make sure you also visit Alatskivi Church (1636) in addition to the castle. The unique church on Kirikumägi Hill was built by manor owner Stackelberg in 1777–1782. It was later altered and its layout was given the shape of a cross. W. Nolcken’s painting "Last Supper" adorns the altar of the church. The organ was made by Müllerstaedt in 1868.Alatskivi Church has been recognised as a cultural monument. Church services take place at 12.30 p.m. on Sundays; during that time, you can also view the interior of the church.Interesting to know: the graves of important contributors to local culture at Alatskivi cemetery are under national protection.

The restaurant does not have a fixed menu. We prepare our food using fresh seasonal products, which is preferably of local origin. We have been influenced by Estonian and European cuisine, but you will also find subtle hints to cuisines from further corners of the world. Check out our wine cellar and you will find something to enjoy on its own or with your food.
