Sports fields at Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre

Kagukeskus in Võru is the biggest shopping centre in south-eastern Estonia. It is home to more than 20 shops and service providers over two floors. This historicist-style church is built from red and yellow bricks and has five domes and a bell tower. It is one of the four representative churches of the Apostolic Orthodox Church in Estonia. The church is named after the priest martyr Isidore of Tartu. The church was built in 1897–1898 and was consecrated in 1898. The architect of the building is Vladimir Lunski.The church was built in 1896 for the congregation of Orthodox Russians and Latvians.

River Mädajõgi (Rotten River) flows through bogs and flood plain forests. The shores are soft or, as the locals call them, rotten. This is how the river got its name. River Mädajõgi marks the border between Estonia and Setomaa. The river is meandering, calm, and there are no fallen trees in the water. Therefore, the river is perfect for beginners. However, it is also exciting for more experienced guests. During the hike, we will see waterfowl and, if we move quietly enough, beavers, elk, and wild boars.The hike is carried out by Matkajuht OÜ. We will send detailed information with instructions to the participants who have registered to the hike.

Lähte health track, located 15 km from Tartu, is open 24 h; tracks are lit until 10 pm.Lähte has tracks in various lengths that can be used for skiing, running, Nordic walking and bicycling. The longest track is 5 km long. Health track starts from the watch tower near Lähte sports hall.

Villa Tammekann is an architectural landmark, where the Granö Centre of the University of Turku and Tartu operates.The world-famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto designed the building as the home of August Tammekann, Professor of Geography at the University of Tartu. The University of Turku Foundation bought the house from the children of Tammekann in 1998, and then the building was overhauled mainly in accordance with the drawings of Alvar and Aino Aalto. The overhaul was recognised with the Europa Nostra Prize in 2001.The house is part of the National Register of Cultural Monuments and the international IconicHouses network.Groups must book a time to visit the house.
