The TYPA Print and Paper Art Center, located in Tartu, invites you to participate in a paper marbling workshop. This technique, which is over a thousand years old, is a simple yet captivating way to create unique artworks. Marbling paints are dripped into a special water bath, where they float on the surface, and beautiful patterns can be formed using bamboo sticks or other tools. When paper is gently placed on the water's surface, the pattern transfers onto the sheet, creating a distinctive pattern. Each marbled paper is unique because the process starts anew with each sheet. This makes the workshop a special experience, resulting in something new and surprising every time. Participants can experiment with different colors and shapes, allowing creativity to flow freely. The finished paper can later be used in various ways. It is perfect for decorating cards, invitations, and gift packages, as book covers, or even as an interior design element. The marbled paper sheets created in the workshop bring joy both to the creator and as gifts for others.

At the Metsavenna Farm located on the Estonian-Latvian border, you have a unique opportunity to search for forest brothers in hiding places during a forest brother hike, stay in a bunker, and listen to true stories.The experience continues at the Metsavenna eatery, where simple yet authentic food from the era is served: boiled potatoes with skins, butter, salt, and juice. The visit concludes with a musical experience – singing the song of the former Härmiku forest brothers' orchestra. Visiting Metsavenna Farm is an engaging and educational journey into the history of forest brotherhood.

Raadi Park is one of the best examples of park design in the history of Estonian manor parks. The park was designed by Reinhold Wilhem von Liphart and by Peter Joseph Linne in the 1840s. In the early 20th century, the park was redesigned by Maximillian von Sievers and Moritz von Engelhardt.In the upper park – a part of the historical Raadi Manor Park – the original design is largely preserved. Next to the lower, English-style park, the Dendropark of the University of Tartu was established in 1923, with an emphasis on species richness. This part has a network of paths that divides the park into smaller parts of different shapes.

The restaurant of Hotel Karupesa caters for both hotel guests and everyone else. The restaurant is located in the basement of Hotel Karupesa and has 66 seats. A terrace is also opened during the summer season. Guests can have barbeques in the arbour in the hotel’s backyard. There hotel offers several barbeque meals in summer in addition to the usual à la carte menu. We offer special menus to athletes and sports camps. In the Mesi Tare fish cooking workshop, we prepare local dishes from seasonal Peipsi fish! The fish cooking workshop, held in the courtyard of the Mesi Tare Holiday Home, covers the entire process from start to finish, including cleaning, filleting, preparation, and cooking the fish. Depending on the season and the fish we have, we cook uhhaa, a traditional fish soup, smoke the fish, pan fry fish, etc. And finally, the moment that everyone is especially looking forward to — we serve the food and enjoy an authentic meal in an Old Believers' village on the Onion Route. The winter fish cooking workshop includes an experience on the ice with a karakat ride on frozen Lake Peipsi, ice fishing, and preparing uhhaa. See you at the workshop!

The 63 km track of the Tartu Ski Marathon starts from the stadium of Tehvandi Sport Centre in Otepää and runs to Elva through Väike Munamägi, Matu, Harimägi, Kuutsemägi and Palu. The 31 km track starts by the Arula crossroads. The official finish of the track is in the Tartu County Recreational Sport Centre in Elva. The track section between Tehvandi and Kääriku can be used from the second week of February until the end of the winter season.Interesting facts: * the wooden sculptures of the biggest open air theme park in Estonia, Maajumalate Park, are near the track.

If you wish to have a meal and a cup of coffee in north-western Võru County, the Café in Varese Guesthouse that is located by Võru-Viljandi Road is a suitable place for that. The menu contains miscellaneous dishes at favourable prices and in case of fair weather it is possible to enjoy your meal in the picnic area or in a conic tent. Upon advance notice, groups are served and banquet tables are prepared.
