The village of Nina (‘nose’) gets its name from the nose-shaped shoreline reaching the lake. It is a stone ridge heading into the lake, which is popularly called the Kalevipoeg Bridge. According to legend, Kalevipoeg started to build a bridge to go to Russia, but the devil demolished the bridge. Kalevipoeg was very tired and decided to walk through the lake, where the water reached his upper body. The remains of the bridge or the stone blockfield can still be seen. The stone blockfield, which is located both on the beach and in lake water, covers an area of 0.7 ha.The village of Nina is known for its icebergs.

The highest court of the Republic of Estonia, the Estonian Supreme Court that operated in Tartu from 1920 to 1935, is located in this building. The building was initially built as a barracks in 1763, the university hospital was built on its ruins in 1808 and the Estonian Supreme Court has been in the building since 1995. The magnificent Neo-Renaissance style manor with a white main building was built during the time of G. J. Mannteuffel in 1860. In 1918, Julius Kuperjanov established a partisan battalion in Puurmani castle.At present, the castle houses the Puurmani Upper Secondary School.You can visit Puurmani castle and learn about its history in the course of the Forgotten Manors program during the visiting days in the summer. You can also order a tour of the manor house, manor park and the entire Jõgeva County. In the manor, we will look around different floors where you can see the countess's boudoir, a secret door leading to the tower, as well as the count's study and treasury. You can also order a night tour and catering.

Põltsamaa Museum is located within the walls of the ancient Põltsamaa Ordensburg. The Uue-Saaluse manor, that was built in 1540, has had many owners, the first one being Reinhold Salis, after whom the manor is also named.The heart of the manor is in a beautiful place on a hill on the eastern shore of Lake Kavadi. The manor belonged to the von Maydell family from 1843 to 1919, when it was dispossessed.The Saaluse manor was nationalised after that, land was divided among those, who participated in the War of Independence, and the manor staff, until their own houses were built. Later the building was used for public festivals, as a school for two years and then as a community centre, which also housed a shop.Only ruins remain of the manor.

The Old Believers Museum in Kolkja is located on the Onion Route and tells visitors the story of the Peipsi Region's Russian Old Believers. The exhibition is in Estonian, English, and Russian and includes virtual reality, where you can experience the Old Believer prayer. We also offer hour-long guided tours in Estonian and Russian. There is an observation tower overlooking Lake Peipsi at the museum! Come and discover the world of the Old Believers in Kolkja!

We also accept custom orders. If you would like to craft something yourself, then groups can participate in various workshops that need to be booked in advance.
