Ice skating at the Astri Arena in Lõunakeskus

Astri Arena is the largest and most modern indoor ice rink in Southern Estonia, and the only ice rink open all year round in the entire region. It is located in Tartu Lõunakeskus and offers sports and entertainment for visitors of all ages.
You can skate at Astri Arena in any weather. In addition to regular skating, Astri Arena hosts fun ice discos, great family events, sports competitions, and training sessions. It is also a great place to organize memorable birthday parties and school or team events.
Visitors can rent skates, helmets, and assistive skate frames, which make the first steps on the ice safe even for small children.
A full-size ice rink right in a shopping center is a rare — there are only a few similar indoor ice rinks. Astri Arena combines sports, entertainment, and experiences, offering unforgettable moments at any time of the year.

The Secret Witch’s Trail

You are greeted in Witch Country by senior witch Uhti, who will lead you to the Secret Witch's Trail. There you will encounter a range of obstacles and other surprises. Afterwards, while relaxing in the barbecue area, witch August will prepare something special for you. You can also cook something for yourself, and try a special witch potion. There are also games and competitions with prizes, and dancing with the witches themselves! The adventure lasts for around two hours and costs €200 for a group of up to 30 people. Every additional person costs €4.

Fairy Trail

The Fairy Trail, also known as the Vitipalu Adventure Trail, offers a fairytale experience for both children and adults. The trail takes you through the mushroom and berry forests of Elva, where Witch Island awaits, featuring the lovely "Little Witch" house, cool tree sculptures, and a low-adventure trail built in the middle of the forest, perfect for children and families to have a great time in nature. The 1.4 km long trail, part of which is accessible with a stroller, intersects with the Elva River's primeval valley hiking trail and introduces the diverse landscape of Elva. The trail starts and ends at the RMK Jõeharu picnic area and camping site, where several shelters with grills and campfire sites are available.

University of Tartu Natural History Museum

The permanent exhibition Earth. Life. Story. includes nearly 8,000 scientific exhibit items, which tell the development story of planet Earth from the beginning of the universe until the modern day. At the exhibition, you can explore the traces of life from millions of years ago, admire shiny minerals, watch the so-called night airport of butterflies, or track the movement of the placoderm fish from the Devonian era. You can look the first jackal caught in Estonia in the eye and experience the human body through the eyes of a reptile. Visitors will be glad to see the favourites of several generations: the elk, bison, and giraffe. We also have live animals, such as the Python Regius, a turtle, a green iguana, and many other small exotic animals. See you at the Natural History Museum!

Swimming Pool of Pühajärve Spa & Holiday Resort

The glass walls of the Pühajärve Spa & Holiday Resort Swimming Pool offer magnificent views of Lake Pühajärv and the manor park that surrounds the hotel. You can enjoy underwater music and the pleasant sensations created by massage streams when swimming in the large, 25 m and four-lane pool.shallow end of the pool is 1.05 m deep and the depth of the deep end is 1.85 m, the water temperature is 27 °C. There is a large, relaxing Jacuzzi next to the swimming pool and a there is also a safe children’s pool. You can also use a vapour sauna and a steam sauna.

Vudila Playland

Vudila Playland has a large outdoor water park with a three-tier slide and a tube, saunas, swings, climbing attractions, trampolines, sky-jump, bumper cars, adventure trails, ATVs, electronic games, paddle boats, water bikes, a large playroom, animals, horse riding, and more. Vudila also offers catering and you can fish for trout here. On Sundays we have plays for the entire family!All children, their parents, grandparents, and friends are welcome – everyone will find something to do here for the whole day! Vudila Playland is located in Tartu County, near the picturesque Kaiavere Lake, 1.7 km from Elistvere Animal Park.

Children’s park at Tähtvere Leisure Park

There are different attractions for children and young people aged 2–16 in the park.The selection of the attractions was done on the basis that they should offer a lot of activities which are rich in fantasy, demand physical dexterity, and develop physical abilities. The selected toys and constructions are of durable materials and have a modern design.There is a basketball court with two backboards, and two learning tracks for cycling. Additionally, there are some picnic tables and benches so that parents are comfortable while waiting for their children, or they can even organise a picnic.

MUHK – the Rural Curiosity Center at the Estonian Agricultural Museum

Located at the Estonian Agricultural Museum in Ülenurme, the MUHK, or the Rural Curiosity Center, is a lively place where visitors of all ages can discover, research, and play. This is where rural life comes to play through engaging education. Located on two floors, the center introduces modern agriculture through practical activities. The “Barn Symphony” exhibition explores topics related to animal welfare, feeding, and husbandry. You can also meet the museum's farm animals and relax in a soothing rabbit village. The exhibition “Manure and Milk” adds to the excitement, where you can also see a rare manure spreader. For the more adventurous, the slightly gut-wrenching veterinary room takes a look at the history of animal treatment. The museum’s treasury, or open storage, also awaits visitors, where fascinating objects from the museum’s collections are on display. The Estonian Rural Museum ticket gives you access to all museums in the complex, including the Rural Curiosity Center.
