Tartu County Recreational Sports Center Hostel is nestled in the pine forests of Elva, offering athletes, active families, and pets comfortable accommodation and a variety of additional services. The hostel can accommodate up to 38 guests in the courtyard house and offers modern amenities, including a kitchen and saunas. The center features conference rooms, barbecue areas, various sports facilities, including a gym, archery range, shooting range, and sports equipment rental, as well as pleasant forest and hiking trails for exercise. Raadi Manor, which stands on the border of the city of Tartu, had its glory days in the first half of the 19th century with its magnificent art gallery and library and salon evenings. The manor then belonged to the von Liphart family.The main building of the manor was destroyed by the bombing in 1944. The manor park, together with the ruins of the main building and the gate, are included in the list of national cultural monuments.The area forms a distinctive complex: there is the magnificent manor complex, as well as a woodshed, a water tower, an ice cellar, and a restored wall. In the centre of the complex, there is the natural Raadi lake and the restored manor park.

During the winter season, Tähtvere Sport Park offers a variety of winter activities and the famous Tähtvere ski trails, suitable for both amateurs and more athletic visitors. The recreational park features ski trails with artificial snow, totaling approximately 4 kilometers, allowing skiing even when natural snow is scarce. When natural snow is available, additional ski trails open in the dendropark, totaling about 5 kilometers, and a trail along the Emajõgi River, approximately 2.5 kilometers long. At the heart of the park is the Tartu Song Festival Grounds, where an ice rink is opened under the arch in suitable weather conditions. A sledding hill, sports fields, and playgrounds are also nearby. In the same area, it is possible to rent skates and skis according to the season. Note: In rainy weather and when temperatures are above zero, the ice rink and rental services are closed. Tähtvere Sport Park is an ideal place to enjoy winter, be active, and spend quality time in the fresh air.

Smoke sauna is a good place for a long humid steaming session. This is something for true sauna aficionados. Between the sauna sessions, you can dip in the waves of Lake Lämmijärv only a few steps away. In our sauna, the use of a viht is allowed. The sauna platform has enough room for 5 people. The smoke sauna is in a separate building right on the lake shore.

The monument to Friedrich Robert Faehlmann – a bronze bust on a pillar of local grey granite – was opened in front of the Old Anatomical Theatre at Toomemägi, Tartu, on 18 May 1930. Friedrich Robert Faehlmann (1798 - 1850) was one of the founders of Estonian national literature, a physician and a democrat. He studied in Rakvere District School, Tartu Upper Secondary School and the Faculty of Medicine in the University of Tartu. Faehlmann worked as a physician in Tartu from 1824. He worked in the Old Anatomical Theatre. He was a lector of the Estonian language in the university and sometimes also gave lectures in pharmacology and prescriptions.
