Emajõe-Suursoo, located in Tartu County, is home to dozens of bog islands and pristine nature, where a local guide can take you on an adventure. Since humans rarely set foot here, the area is home to a diverse range of species. Using bogshoes, we will walk across the bog islands and explore their primeval forests. We will definitely see traces of animal and bird activity and maybe even meet the local inhabitants themselves. If you are lucky, you may find a proud eagle owl or moose antlers during the hike. The trip also includes a light snack. The hike is suitable for children aged 12 and above. Friendly pets are welcome too!
Linocut — where the printing form is cut out of linoleum by hand — is one of the simplest graphic arts techniques. In the workshop, each participant will make a linocut printing plate (10x15 cm) according to their own design, with which they will first print a clean, blind-embossed image and then color images. Prepare for the workshop by thinking of a design in advance or searching the Internet for an image to inspire you. Tip: The image should have strong contrasts and clear lines, like a black and white image, because smooth color transitions cannot be printed with linocut.

A unique floating house in the middle of the Kalli River is waiting for you – away from civilization and only accessible by water!The floating house is suitable for a holiday in Estonian nature for both colleagues and families/friends. We offer accommodation for up to 30 people (mattresses and pillows are available). When staying here, be sure to bring a sleeping bag, bath towel, swimwear, your own food, and drinking water. There is electricity (with a generator) and a gas stove in the kitchen with everything you need. Weaving a chipwood basket is the most popular attraction in the wooden handicraft centre and if there's a place in Estonia where this craft is known, it's Avinurme. Everyone can learn the basics of weaving a basket in the workshop with the help of an instructor: you pick out chipwood, weave a berry basket from the chips and finally apply a finish. All the participants will be given the necessary tools for weaving a basket and at the end of the workshop you have your own basket.We have seen the most genuine joy over something made with your own hands in the basket weaving workshop.
Värska Farm Museum is a unique place in Setomaa, offering comprehensive insight into the life of a wealthy Seto fortified farm in the 1920s. It is a great place to experience Seto culture, architecture, and traditions. The building complex includes a smoke sauna, a residential building, a clothing, dining and granary barn, an animal barn, a hay barn, a men's workshop, a threshing floor, a blacksmith's shop, and a pottery factory — you can get an overview of the entire Seto architecture. The museum also houses genuine Estonian farm animals. Various workshops are offered upon reservation, such as making sõir, bread making, and crocheting Seto lace, among others. In the historic Deer Garden wine cellar, next to the Alatskivi Castle wall, a small family business, Alatskivi Manor Flavors, operates, producing handcrafted wines from local raw materials. The wines are made from products sourced from Estonian nature, such as rhubarb, wild berries, apples, and grapes, giving each drink a unique local character. In addition to buying wine, it is possible to participate in a tasting that introduces wines through a playful guessing game, in which participants try to identify the ingredients of the wines. The hostess also provides guests with a brief overview of the wine-making process and, if desired, introduces the historic Deer Garden wine cellar and its connection to the former manor in more detail. This is a cozy, personal experience that showcases local raw materials, craftsmanship, and the area's history.
