Raadi Cemetery

Kalmistu tn 22, Tartu linn, Tartu maakond, 50303

Raadi Cemetery is the largest cemetery in Tartu, consisting of cemeteries of several different congregations which were merged as late as in 1961. The congregations of Mary and Peter make up the largest part of the cemetery. There are many graves of cultural figures and researchers in the Vana-Jaani cemetery, as well as in the newer part of the University cemetery.Above the main gate of the cemetery is the inscription in the local Tartu language ‘Õnsa omma ne koolnu, kes Issandan koolwa.’ The Douglas fir alley in the military cemetery is under nature protection.Previously, the Vana-Jaani cemetery had a Jewish cemetery on the side of Narva maantee and an Islamic cemetery on its side.

Krabi Camping

Krabi Caravan Park is located at the southern tip of Estonia, in Krabi village in Rõuge Parish. Housed in a former school stadium, this quiet park with extensive greenery offers 64 caravan sites with electric and water options. There are spacious grounds for campers, and pets are also welcome. Krabi is quiet and close to nature – electricity comes from solar panels. The Paganamaa and Pähn hiking trails are nearby, and a village shop and tavern are 500 meters away. Rannu St Martin’s Church of the Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church

The church dedicated to St. Martin is located on the Estonian Pilgrim Route, which starts from Pirita Monastery and ends at the Vana-Vastseliina Episcopal Castle. There is also a prayer bench in the churchyard.Come and see one of the oldest parish churches in Estonia. You can also can go to the spire, which offers a unique view of the beautiful Lake Võrtsjärv and the surroundings.Good to know:• The Church participates in the Wayfarers Churches and the Night of Churches projects.• The night battle from the feature film Names on a Marble Slab (2002) was filmed in Rannu Church garden.You can visit the church on Sundays during the service or by prior arrangement.

Peipsimaa museum

The Peipsi County Museum introduces the life of the Old Believers, the kitchen and church culture, and the life and work of the world-famous icon painter Pimen Sofronov from the local village of Tiheda. Samovars, "podrushniks", icons, "lestovkas" are worth seeing. You can buy souvenirs and handicrafts related to the culture and nature of Peipsi, as well as sweets, tea mixtures and other local products. A guided tour introducing the Old Believers and the Ivan Chai tea ceremony can be booked in advance. With a museum ticket, you can also visit the Peipsi Järve Elu room with a permanent exhibition located next door.
