Target practice with virtual and air guns takes place in the halls of the main building throughout the year.During the summer season, we use a 25 m shooting range with 24 lanes for pistols and service weapons; 50 m shooting ranges with 42 and 12 lanes are available for rifle practice. In the smaller range, we use the electronic Sius Ascor targets of the Estonian Shooting Sport Federation for practising for finals of important competitions, as well as for training our top shooters. In the 50 m Moving Target range, you can use a rifle to shoot at a moving target shaped like a wild boar or an elk. Enthusiasts can also try archery and clay target shooting.

The campsites and camping area of ​​the Tartu County Health and Sports Centre offer an idyllic holiday among Elva's beautiful pine forests. Our cozy 4-person cabins, 6-person cottages, and spacious camping area are perfect for families, friends, hikers, or for organizing camps. Public showers and toilets are located in the main building, where you can also enjoy breakfast with a reservation. There is a barbecue area for relaxation, and for active recreation, there is archery, shooting ranges, disc golf, hiking trails, and fat bike rental. At the Ülejõe promenade everyone can enjoy greenery at the heart of the city. At the promenade meandering along the bank of the River Emajõgi you will come across colourful flora and fauna. From the observation platforms and swing benches one can enjoy a view overlooking the River Emajõgi where fishermen and sea gulls catch fish and ships and paddle boarders pass by.The promenade starts from the Turusild Bridge and ends at the Lodjakoda and the City Swimming Pool (ca 2.5 km in length).The area from the Turusild Bridge towards the Anne Canal is a starting point for an exciting Soviet era district consisting of five- and nine-storey buildings – Annelinn, which is also called a bedroom suburb as it is the most populated settlement area in Tartu.

The first stone bridge to be constructed in the Baltic States was erected in the 18th century at one end of the Town Hall Square in Tartu, with two triumphal arches and a raisable mid-section. Dedicated to Russian empress Catherine II, it was opened to traffic in 1784. The bridge was destroyed during World War II. All that remains to admire is the 2004 model of the bridge (created by Tiiu Kirsipuu).

The Kooraste lakes in the Vidrike-Kooraste primeval valley of the Otepää upland is the most spectacular chain of lakes in Estonia with 11 lakes altogether. The largest and most famous of them is Lake Kooraste Suurjärv, where there is also a small island called Hirvesaar.As we have to pass through ten lakes on this canoe trip, it is suitable for those who are not afraid of challenges and are looking for a true adventure. At times, we have to step out of the canoe and walk next to it. The streams and canals connecting the lakes, the beaver dams, and other obstacles in them make this trip quite difficult.We recommend that you come here in a good mood and wear weather-appropriate clothing.

The canoe raft consists of three interconnected canoes, to which a platform for comfort has been added. One canoe raft comfortably accommodates 6–11 people, four or six of whom will have to paddle. In total, we have four canoe rafts. You can have a picnic, take photos, catch fish, sunbathe, etc. on the canoe raft. Small children, grandparents, and even smaller pets are also welcome on the canoe raft trip.About 20 sandstone outcrops are exposed on the Taevaskoja reservoir, which makes it one of the most unique and beautiful lakes in Estonia. Take a picnic basket and bring your friends to Taevaskoda!
