Villa Tammekann is an architectural landmark, where the Granö Centre of the University of Turku and Tartu operates.The world-famous Finnish architect Alvar Aalto designed the building as the home of August Tammekann, Professor of Geography at the University of Tartu. The University of Turku Foundation bought the house from the children of Tammekann in 1998, and then the building was overhauled mainly in accordance with the drawings of Alvar and Aino Aalto. The overhaul was recognised with the Europa Nostra Prize in 2001.The house is part of the National Register of Cultural Monuments and the international IconicHouses network.Groups must book a time to visit the house.

Luua Arboretum exhibits about 500 species and forms of trees and bushes. The arboretum was founded based on the principles of botanical geography with the departments for plants from Europe, Siberia, Central Asia, the Far East and North America.

Emajõe-Suursoo is an interesting and vibrant water maze of several rivers and lakes. We will ride SUP or paddle boards through the watery labyrinth from Emajõe-Suursoo to Lake Peipsi, where we will cook a delicious dinner over a live fire, rest our feet, and spend the night on a wild beach in hanging beds. There is an opportunity to swim, and those who do not want to sleep in can enjoy the sunrise! The trip includes basic SUP training, equipment, two meals, hanging bed rental, and hiking guide service. Jõeniidu Holiday House is a few kilometres from the centre of Haanja and is suitable for small groups, families and for those travelling by two.There is a pond next to the Holiday House, a sauna on the bank of a river and you can go for a boat ride. Domestic animals and goats waiting for your pat and whose everyday doings you can see here make the Jõeniidu Holiday House special. Under the hostess’s instructions it is possible to make goat cheese and bread.

Trips on Ahja River are suitable for beginners as well as experienced paddlers. Taevaskoja, caves and white water offer a sense of satisfaction to even the most demanding of canoeists.The route and length of the canoe trip: Aarnaorg-Saesaare; 27 km altogether.The minimum size of the group is 10 people; smaller groups can join other scheduled trips.Price for adults: €31 per person (canoe trip) and €36 per person (kayak trip).Price for children: €20 per person.The price includes: rental for canoes or kayaks; transportation of equipment; safety equipment; instructions; transporting the cars of the participants; a map with information about camping sites; support in emergencies.
