Kärde Peace House

Jõgeva vald, Jõgeva maakond, 48415

Kärde Peace House is a small hut on the southwestern edge of Kärde Manor Park. It is said that the peace treaty between Russia and Sweden was signed here in 1661. The Peace House is open all year round and every day.

Monument to Eduard Tubin

The monument to the most renowned Estonian symphonist of all times Eduard Tubin stands on the slope by the Vanemuine Theatre (authors A Vahtrapuu, V Valk, sound installations created by Louis Dandrel). Come and see how the well-known Estonian conductor and composer conducts an imaginary orchestra and listen to sound installations of the works of Eduard Tubin.

Suhka Tourist Farm

You will find Suhka Tourist Farm in between the hills and slopes of Haanjamaa. There is a large nest built by storks in the farmyard, where you have a good possibility to observe the activities of the birds. The host family of Suhka is friendly and kind and the meals prepared by the hostess are really delicious. Upon a request, the host family will take you to the upper course of the Piusa River; in winter it is possible to ride a sleigh and in addition to the Finnish sauna you can also enjoy the delights of a smoke sauna.

Raadi Manor

Raadi Manor, which stands on the border of the city of Tartu, had its glory days in the first half of the 19th century with its magnificent art gallery and library and salon evenings. The manor then belonged to the von Liphart family.The main building of the manor was destroyed by the bombing in 1944. The manor park, together with the ruins of the main building and the gate, are included in the list of national cultural monuments.The area forms a distinctive complex: there is the magnificent manor complex, as well as a woodshed, a water tower, an ice cellar, and a restored wall. In the centre of the complex, there is the natural Raadi lake and the restored manor park.

Selgise cycling trail and Kärgandi campfire site

The length and terrain of the trail make it suitable for moderate training or leisurely enjoying the nature. The trail with its ups and downs runs along winding forest paths and straight forest rides, passing through different forest communities.The trail is 30 km long. It starts and ends at the Kukemetsa forest hut. The trail is marked with signs and runs along forest roads to the north.The best recreation sites along the trail are the forests, Selgise hills, Kukemetsa forest hut, which is approximately 500 m off the trail, and Kärgandi campfire site. The trail was built by the State Forest Management Centre.

Juulamõis Local Heritage Café is a small Green Key eatery in Vooremaa. Our wish is to offer people a cozy atmosphere and healthy food! We offer local food, tell regional legends, and introduce guests to the products of small producers. For those who prefer vegetarian food, there is a vegetarian menu; for families, there is a large family platter for sharing. There is an herb garden on the edge of the café terrace and a haystack for lounging. For those eager to learn, we offer workshops related to Estonian food. We put together local food baskets for a picnic or as a gift. The café is a good stopping point on your journey from the Ice Age Centre to Elistvere Animal Park and Vudila Playland.
