Italian food and culture workshop – a journey to the world of pizza

When in Kasepää Village near Lake Peipus, go and visit the prayer house of Russian Old Believers, which has been operating without interruption since the 18th century.The current prayer house was built at the beginning of the 20th century. It was designed by the governorate architect Wilhelm Schilling in 1902. The Florov school masters renewed the icons of the iconostasis in the prayer house before the Second World War. Some of the icons in the chapel date back as far as to the 17th century.Prayers are held in the chapel in Russian on Sundays at 10 a.m.

River Ahja is well-known for it picturesque and primeval nature. Sandstone outcrops border the river, you can see beavers, otters and the favourite of nature photographers — kingfisher. Some parts of the river have a stronger current, while others are calmer.The hike begins from Koorvere or Kiidjärve and summer hikes include a pancake picnic. All hikers will be given thorough instructions before the hike and guides will keep an eye on you during the canoeing trip.

In the former tavern building by the Piusa River, the Vasekoja Guesthouse on the second floor offers comfortable rooms (2 triple and 2 quadruple), shower rooms, and a relaxation and kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle. Outdoors, you can use the shelter and grill. For children, there is a playground with swings, a sandbox, a climbing track, and a volleyball court. You can take a trip on the Piusa primeval valley hiking trail and visit the sights of Võrumaa and Setomaa. Want to spend some lovely time with your friends while doing something practical?Nahastuudio studio offers workshops where participants will get to make a unique and colourful leather bracelet under the guidance of the leather designer Tiina Andron. We will use pieces of leather, rivets, and press-fasteners of different colours.The workshop is suitable for everyone (from school age).During the workshop, participants will get to explore Antonius Courtyard, see different items being made, and listen to the designer talking about her work.Information about the workshops of Nahastuudio studio is available HERE.

Kivitalu Restaurant Rock Summer is known for its delicious and fresh meals, made with love from ingredients from our farm. You can enjoy a wonderful view of the lake and eat the meat of Kivitalu sheep, as well as pancakes and omelettes made from eggs from our own chicken. We grow potatoes, beetroot, carrots, cucumbers, pumpkins, salads, herbs, garlic, and onions here. Other raw ingredients come from South-Estonian farmers. The restaurant was named after Rock Summer festivals, which were held at Tallinn Song Festival Grounds – our chef Jüri Makarov used to organise them.
