Rahamäe Holiday Home is located on the border between Estonian and Latvia, 12 km from Valga towards Viljandi. Our Holiday Home is suitable for an overnight stay, spending holidays, organizing corporate events, celebrating special occasions or holding reunions and seminars. At Rahamäe, you can have a sauna and then go for a refreshing dip in the pond next to the sauna. The Italian-style pizza restaurant Malmizza awaits you in the old Tõrva tavern located in the centre of Tõrva. Pizzas are cooked on open fire in the style of Naples and you can enjoy a pleasant Italian vibe. Our menu changes seasonally, but there are always different pastas, salads, and desserts. If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, head to the beautiful, untouched nature of the Selli-Sillaotsa educational trail. Trail is located in the Alam-Pedja nature reserve, 30 minutes by car from Tartu. The well-marked trail, winding over a bog, through the forest, and on a gravel road, with plenty of information boards, is flat and easy to navigate. From the 12 m high Suuretüki observation tower built of massive logs, you can enjoy beautiful views of the bog in any season! If you find yourself on the trail at the right time of year, you can treat yourself to edible berries, such as blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries.

In winter, when Lake Peipsi is frozen, the Mesi Tare family offers guests a real adventure holiday — a winter day on Lake Peipsi! The host takes the group out onto the lake ice in a karakat (a vehicle specially built for driving on ice), teaches them how to fish, and catches fish from an ice hole with the group. The fish that are caught are used to make a delicious soup in a pot set up on the lake ice. After a 3-hour karakat safari and ice fishing, a heated tent sauna awaits on shore, where you can warm up your body and then cool off in an ice hole!
