Valga Central Square

The central square of Valga is located in the heart of the city and connects the two sides of the city, Valga and Valka, into one whole. The central square offers the residents many opportunities for leisure, such as street basketball and table tennis. The unique benches and a colourful playground for children have become especially popular.Next to the central square are the Lutheran St. John's Church (1816) and the oldest building in Valga, a former administrative building of the county authorities.The central square was opened in 2018 with the help of the architects Gianfranco Franchi, Chiara Tesi, and Rea Sepping. At the end of 2019, the square won the annual award of the Union of Estonian Architects.

Alatskivi Hiking Trail

The 4.5 km long trail around Lake Lossijärv with its varied terrain and beautiful views offers visitors plenty of excitement and sights at any time of year.The trail starts at Alatskivi or by the Bed of Kalevipoeg. Alatskivi Castle and Castle Park, Hirveaed Garden, Sheep Bridge, Bed of Kalevipoeg, Lake Veskijärv, and Lake Lossijärv are all along the trail. There are two large information boards on the trail, log stairs in the Bed of Kalevipoeg, two bridges, signs, and small information boards that introduce the objects found in the protected area.

Are you tired of the city life? Pühajärve Boat Harbor in Otepää is the best place to get away from it all. Row a boat or enjoy picturesque views from a pedal boat with your family or friends. Try a SUP board or surf bike. We rent various watercraft for fun on Pühajärve, such as row boats, canoes, surf bikes, water bikes, SUP boards, and kayaks. You can also rent fishing kits from us for angling or spinning. There is also the beautiful Pühajärve Beach, with its clean sand, swimming pier, beach volleyball courts, children's playgrounds, and gazebos. You can grab a snack at the Pühajärve Beach Café.

A visit to Järiste Winery and artisanal wine tasting

Enjoy rural romance, wide-open spaces, and Estonian wines at the Järiste Wine Farm in Tartu County! We will guide you around the vineyards, discuss Nordic viticulture, and visit the wine kitchen. The tasting will take place on our pleasant terrace, decorated with 26-year-old vines, and will include an Estonian cheese selection. You will have the opportunity to taste five delicious products from Järiste Winery, all made with great care and love on the premises. We offer pizza and wine packages for groups.

Ülenurme Park

The Ülenurme Manor Park was established in the second half of the 19th century when the new manor was built. The Historicist main building of the manor, as well as the smaller buildings next to the park, which are used by the Estonian Agricultural Museum, have been well preserved.Here, you can see farm animals, ride ponies, and visit exhibitions. From 15 May 2021 to 30 April 2022, you can visit the wonderful exhibition of agricultural machinery models 'World of Mini Tractors'.Ülenurme Park is a wonderful place for the whole family to walk and enjoy nature. There are information boards in the park,so you can study the different types of trees and shrubs growing here.

Kostja Onion Farm

Contact Konstantin, the owner of Kostja Onion Farm, when the onions are starting to ripen. You can buy any variety and quantity of onions and onion garlands from him. You can also buy mouth-watering onion pies, which must be ordered in advance. They are worth it! For those interested in onion cultivation, Kostja offers a guided tour (in Estonian, German, and Russian), during which he introduces the traditional onion-growing methods of the Old Believers and modern tips for growing onions in your garden. The farm also offers onion wreath weaving workshops.

Rannu Apostolic Orthodox Church

The Apostolic Orthodox Church in Rannu (Rannu Orthodox Church) was built during 1899-1901 and consecrated on 5 May 1905 to celebrate Jesus going to Jerusalem. Therefore the church is also called the Rannu Church of the Lord Going to Jerusalem.The activities of the Orthodox congregation were terminated in 1961 and the church was used as the warehouse of the Rannu collective farm. In the 1980s, Rannu State Farm decided to make amends for the injustice and restored the church. The church has been previously used as a concert venue due to its excellent acoustics.Currently the church is not used for services.

Krabi Camping

Krabi Caravan Park is located at the southern tip of Estonia, in Krabi village in Rõuge Parish. Housed in a former school stadium, this quiet park with extensive greenery offers 64 caravan sites with electric and water options. There are spacious grounds for campers, and pets are also welcome. Krabi is quiet and close to nature – electricity comes from solar panels. The Paganamaa and Pähn hiking trails are nearby, and a village shop and tavern are 500 meters away. Guests can enjoy a modern service building with toilets, showers, and a kitchenette, as well as a shelter for campers. A sauna with a healing wall of salt is waiting in the outbuilding. Prior agreement is required for use. There are swings and ballfields for kids to have a fun time. Krabi Caravan Park is prized for its peace and privacy – here you can charge both your caravan and your own batteries. You can also stop longer in the park if you want, as there is plenty of space and quiet. It's also the perfect place to stay when you're on your way to Europe – Krabi is right next to the Latvian border.
