Boat trips on Lake Peipsi take you to Estonia's largest lake aboard the historic cruise ship Arabella I. Built in 1922 and recently fully renovated, Arabella I is the oldest ship in use in Estonia. Cruises depart by arrangement from Tartu or the Emajõe-Suursoo Center, and the ship can also be booked for special events – from birthdays and seminars to photo sessions and festive receptions. We offer a special Instagrammable boat tour starting from Mesi Tare in Varnja, where we divide the group into small boats. The guide is the owner of Mesi Tare, who will captain one of the boats himself. In other boats, you can be the boat captain! We will explore Old Believer villages, sail along the shore, and moor in various small canals to visit places on the shore, including Voronja Gallery, Lendav Laev home restaurant, the Samovar House, Peipsimaa Heritage Center, and other places. Enjoy the beautiful nature of Estonia while receiving a rush of adrenaline on wakeboard, water skiis or tubing. Swim in pristine places and dive amongst huge fish. The speedboat will take you to the Emajõe-Suursoo delta in the Peipsiveere nature reserve, which hides several different rivers and lakes, where there is room for everyone and it is safe to enjoy water sports.The speedboat, which we will always rent out with a captain, fits seven persons in addition to him. The trips are suitable for children from the age of 7. The speed can be adjusted and the boat can take it slower.Wakeboarding, water skiing or tubing in Emajõe-Suursoo will take around 1.5 hours.

The Hilara is a riverboat with a dignified and active history, which was built in 1975 to offer pleasant experiences for people both in summer and in winter. The passenger ship that was originally sailing in Finland has been used on Lake Peipus and Emajõgi River during the past decades.The boat can accommodate up to 36 passengers, so there is plenty of space in the two passenger cabins and on the bow and sun deck so that everyone could feel truly comfortable.During the trip, you can enjoy the beautiful views on Tartu from the river and listen to the fun stories about life on the river and onboard told by captains Gaute Kivistik and Olaf Suuder.

The host of Mesi Tare will take your group on an adventure to Piirissaar, a small island in Lake Peipsi! We start from the Varnja Harbor, where the host will be waiting with a fishing boat. The boat trip lasts two hours, depending on the weather and water level. We will walk with a guide through Piirissaar's three villages and see all the important places on the island, including the Piirissaare Old Believers Museum, the location of the Old Believers' prayer house, the Orthodox church and the Piirissaare Titanic. For lunch, the guide will take you to Zinaida's home, where she will lay out a magnificent table for her guests. (Note: The food must be paid for on the spot.) The day ends with a boat trip back to Varnja.
