Tasting of Alatskivi’s handcrafted wines

Hirveaia tn 4, Peipsiääre vald, Tartu maakond, 60201

In the historic Deer Garden wine cellar, next to the Alatskivi Castle wall, a small family business, Alatskivi Manor Flavors, operates, producing handcrafted wines from local raw materials. The wines are made from products sourced from Estonian nature, such as rhubarb, wild berries, apples, and grapes, giving each drink a unique local character.
In addition to buying wine, it is possible to participate in a tasting that introduces wines through a playful guessing game, in which participants try to identify the ingredients of the wines.
The hostess also provides guests with a brief overview of the wine-making process and, if desired, introduces the historic Deer Garden wine cellar and its connection to the former manor in more detail.
This is a cozy, personal experience that showcases local raw materials, craftsmanship, and the area’s history.
