The Wood Shop’s breadmaster will guide you through the process of the perfect bread dough, and show you all the good ingredients and the secret components to a well risen dough and delicious taste. In the end of the workshop the Bread Room is full of irritatingly good bread baking fragrance. And of course no one is leaving without tasting the outcome of this exciting workshop and you can also take the leaven to go, to keep up the new learned skill of breadmaking. And if later there’s a need for a bread basket, Avinurme Wood-Shop can offer exactly what you need.

Terra is a restaurant in Tartu with seasonal cuisine and good wine, located in the historic Era Villa building. Our kitchen is based on fresh ingredients, clear flavors, and seasonality — the menu changes according to what is best at the moment. Terra does not aim to be too complicated, but precise: good ingredients, thoughtful techniques, and a plate with a purpose. Wine holds an important place at Terra. Our wine list brings together small producers, grower champagnes, exciting European wine regions, and characterful wines that are often not found on large lists. If desired, we help choose wine to accompany the food or offer a paired wine package. Terra is suitable for a peaceful dinner, special celebrations, and smaller private events. The Chef's hall, located on the upper floor, allows for the organization of private set-menu dinners and wine evenings for smaller groups. In the Mesi Tare fish cooking workshop, we prepare local dishes from seasonal Peipsi fish! The fish cooking workshop, held in the courtyard of the Mesi Tare Holiday Home, covers the entire process from start to finish, including cleaning, filleting, preparation, and cooking the fish. Depending on the season and the fish we have, we cook uhhaa, a traditional fish soup, smoke the fish, pan fry fish, etc. And finally, the moment that everyone is especially looking forward to — we serve the food and enjoy an authentic meal in an Old Believers' village on the Onion Route. The winter fish cooking workshop includes an experience on the ice with a karakat ride on frozen Lake Peipsi, ice fishing, and preparing uhhaa. See you at the workshop!
