Tartu County Recreational Sports Center Hostel is nestled in the pine forests of Elva, offering athletes, active families, and pets comfortable accommodation and a variety of additional services. Visit the modern and airy leisure centre built on the walls of the old manor stable for some bowling. You will be greeted by the professional team of the top-level bowling alley with four lanes and they will teach you all you need to know about bowling. You can also enjoy some drinks and snacks at our bar.

The horns of ancient cattle, animal bones and other objects found in the lake by Ida Kepnik and Richard Indreko indicated that a stone age settlement was once located here. In 1958, horns together with parts of the skull, ceramics and numerous other objects were found in the course of deepening the Võhandu River and bridge construction. In the summer of 1959, a joint expedition by the Institute of History and the Valga Interregional Local History Museum identified the exact location of the settlement. Using the radiometric dating method, it is estimated that the Tamula settlement is 4500 years old. The connection to Roosisaare peninsula was improved in 1998 when a new suspension bridge was opened for pedestrians. There is a great view of Lake Tamula and the town of Võru from the bridge.

The boat fits up to four people and is equipped with a 15 HP, 4-tact gasoline engine. The Art Studio sells great Estonian oil paintings and graphic art, high-class leather and wood goods and high temperature ceramics by Aivar Rumvolt. Please do not hesitate to call on us, if you need a special gift for your guest. The Avatud Ateljee Studio organises different courses: you are welcome to sign up for pottery, calligraphy, binding or leatherwork classes. In addition the studio organises poetry reading nights and meetings with artists. Groups can also visit Aivar Rumvolt’s pottery shop in Kubja by previous appointment. In summer there are workshops both for grown-ups and the young.

The Musta Kõutsi Tavern in Tõrva offers a new menu every day - fresh salads, hot dishes, cakes, desserts and of course pancakes! Those who want to try Mulgimaa flavours will find traditional Mulgi dishes here: potato and groat porridge, buns with various fillings, and soda bread. The tavern with a comfy interior is located just a few hundred meters from the centre of Tõrva. The tavern can accommodate up to 100 guests - 60 on the first floor and 40 in the the second floor hall.
