The museum is located on the first floor of Alatskivi Castle and provides an overview of the life and work of one of Estonia's most famous composers – Eduard Tubin. The exhibition introduces other well-known musicians who studied with Tubin in Tartu under the guidance of Heino Eller – the so-called School of Tartu. At the museum, you can see and hear Tubin's manuscripts, recordings, and books. In addition, you are introduced to those who have interpreted his music and displayed musical instruments, records, and theatre programmes connected to Tubin. You can also look at and watch photos and films created by the composer.You can enter the museum with a ticket to Alatskivi Castle, and it is also possible to order a guide as an additional service.

A canoe trip on the Põltsamaa River takes you away from the city directly into the silence of the bog. The Põltsamaa River flows through the Endla Nature Reserve, where views of the authentic bog landscape open up. Nature is constantly changing: water levels, weather, and seasons make each trip unique. During the trip, you can stop and step directly onto the edge of the bog from the canoe to pick cranberries, bilberries, or rare cloudberries. The journey takes you through quiet river stretches, offering real relaxation and the peace of nature. The trip can be chosen as a one-day, two-day, or multi-day adventure. There is an option to make a detour to Lake Endla. A shorter route can be completed at the Kirikumäe campfire site, while the longer route ends at Jõeküla Bridge. If desired, you can continue from there for a multi-day journey. The Põltsamaa River is known for its clear water and is very popular among fishermen. Before or after the canoe trip, it is worth exploring the nearby springs (Norra Springs, Oostriku Springs, Sopa Spring, etc.). A true nature experience awaits — grab a paddle and come discover!

The Kodavere Heritage Center in Tartu County breathes new life into the historical Pala Town Hall, which has been the heart of the local community for years. The center showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Peipsi region and is a place where old stories, languages, and traditions are revitalized. Visitors can gain a comprehensive overview of the history of Kodavere parish municipalities and town halls, and view the intriguing photo exhibition "People of Kodavere Parish in Oskar Tõrva's Glass Negatives," which reveals the everyday and festive life of rural areas a century ago. Additionally, they can admire the handicraft exhibition "Kodavere Kupuliud," highlighting the skills of local craftsmen and folk aesthetics. A separate display is dedicated to the Kodavere dialect, an essential part of the region's identity. The center also features a memorial room for poet Anna Haava and an exhibit "Song Festivals in Pala 100 Years Ago." Guided tours and heritage culture workshops are offered by reservation, suitable for both school groups and adults.

Luke Manor invites you to discover the historical architecture of its former knight's manor and the enchanting park, where you can find the stylish dollhouse-like Kärnerimaja, which has an information point, an exhibition introducing the manor, and a café in the summer. The restored Governor's House adds historical depth to the manor complex. The water fountain and the pavilion's view of the ponds invite you to immerse yourself in the romance of the manor era. The manor's terraces, an alley of uniquely shaped trees, and the concrete lion statues on the stairs (a favorite with the youngest visitors) create a unique and majestic atmosphere. At Luke Manor, you can organize a seminar, take a tour, attend a concert, or tinker in the craft workshop!

The permanent exhibition Earth. Life. Story. includes nearly 8,000 scientific exhibit items, which tell the development story of planet Earth from the beginning of the universe until the modern day. At the exhibition, you can explore the traces of life from millions of years ago, admire shiny minerals, watch the so-called night airport of butterflies, or track the movement of the placoderm fish from the Devonian era. You can look the first jackal caught in Estonia in the eye and experience the human body through the eyes of a reptile. Visitors will be glad to see the favourites of several generations: the elk, bison, and giraffe. Join the long-distance sled dog team training in Tartu County and experience something that not everyone can! Your role is simple but important – you sit on a special terrain cart as extra weight and enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride with a professional racing team. Meanwhile, we will unveil the behind-the-scenes of the sled dog world – discussing training methods, competitions, and the unique aspects of the dogs' work. You will be guided by Estonia's first musher to participate in long-distance races, Heinrich Lukk, whose experience extends to the challenging tracks of Norway and Finland. During the training, you will see a racing team of eight Alaskan huskies in action and practicing simpler practical tasks. The training lasts 2 to 3 hours, takes place from September to November, and is suitable for only one participant at a time, which makes the experience personal and special. Put on rubber boots or hiking shoes, choose weatherproof clothing, and come to Tartu County for an adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime!

The museum features the home of Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald (1803-1882), a physician and the founder of Estonian national literature, in Võru and gives a good overview of his activities. His living quarters reflect the interior design typical of the time; the garden house accommodates literary exposition. In the storehouse there is an exhibition of art inspired by Kreutzwald’s writings, reprints and translations of his works. The stable features different vehicles and the fairy-tale room several ethnographic objects. There are also a cellar, sauna, well, garden and an arbour in the museum complex. The activity room is designed for handicraft, drawing and constructing.

The Musical Instruments Museum has more than 3,000 exhibits, which include various musical instruments, as well as other exciting things from other fields. For example, in addition to musical instruments, you can see and explore speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and effects units from different eras.
