The Uue-Saaluse smoke sauna is located right by the lakeside, offering not only a sauna but also a refreshing swim. In the sauna, you will be guided by an experienced sauna woman who conducts rituals and creates a mindful sauna experience. Each guided sauna experience is unique – sometimes you need the power of birch branches, other times calming herbal compresses. Even different seasons and moon phases have their own influence. We collaborate with the best in the field, and the smoke sauna tradition of Old Võromaa is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Intangible Cultural Heritage list. If desired, you can also enjoy the sauna independently, without guidance. In addition to the sauna, you can order a Uue-Saaluse wine farm tour with tastings of drinks made at the farm and catering.

Between the sauna sessions, you can dip in the waves of Lake Lämmijärv only a few steps away. In our sauna, the use of a viht is allowed. The sauna platform has enough room for 5 people. The smoke sauna is in a separate building right on the lake shore.

The largest smoke sauna in Southern Estonia awaits guests on the shore of the pond of Kakulaane Tourist Farm.We heat the sauna with alder for 5–8 hours, depending on the weather and the number of guests. Hot smoke cleans the air and the hot air in the smoke sauna is very healing. When the heating is complete, the sauna is ventilated, and some water is thrown onto the heater to get rid of the excess smoke.After the sauna, you can go for a refreshing swim in the pond in summer. In winter, you can jump into the snow or an ice hole.While in Estonia, you must go to a smoke sauna at least once!

There is no smoke in the sauna while you're in it, as by then it has already heated up. Warm and cool water is provided as in the olden days - there is no shower or toilet in the building. You can run down and jump into the pond in just a couple of minutes. The farm's renovated smoke sauna building is a log structure around 100 years old. It has the sauna itself plus an entrance way and two party and recreation rooms which seat up to 30 people. There is also a fireplace. The space is ideal for parties, weddings and other events. You can bring your own food or have the farmer's wife cater for you.

The smoke sauna is an ancient temple of purity and health, where both body and soul are cleansed, while the plastic sauna offers a quick and fun steam experience at the edge of the forest. The smoke sauna on the shore of the pond has been carefully constructed from massive aspen logs. The stove is made from manor-era bricks, and a half-ton of field stones provides the heat. The ceiling is insulated with one and a half tons of Mooste lightweight clay mixture. The plastic sauna is located at the edge of the forest, heats up quickly, and provides an authentic, old-school sauna experience with the right amount of water in a bowl — just pour it over yourself with a ladle! From the heat of the sauan, you can dash straight into the cool pond.
