If you appreciate fresh and delicious fish, then Peipsi Kalapunkt is the place to come. Here, in Kallaste, delicious fish awaits, and it will make your taste buds jump with joy.
We mainly offer smoked fish: vendace, bream, rudd, and other lake delicacies. If you want to be sure that the fish you like is available, we recommend calling in advance.
Kalapunkt’s outdoor café is also open in warm weather, where you can quickly enjoy delicious fish burgers, wraps, and other snacks.

Café Katariina

Café Katariina is located in the centre of the City of Võru at a distance of only a little walk from Katherine Church towards the lake. In the cosy Café you can enjoy good coffee and excellent buns and cakes that have been baked on the spot. If you want to have a more hearty meal, then pizza, warm soup and salad are also on the menu. E-Bike Tour on the Trails of Taevaskoda

We will take you on a memorable bike ride on the beautiful trails of Taevaskoda. During the hike, we will see the watermill of Kiidjärve, peek into the bunker of the Forest Brothers, get to know the River Ahja and its valley, admire the sandstone outcrops of Taevaskoda and the forest trails under primeval trees. If we are lucky, we will get to see and hear kingfishers. We will also try to find the filming locations of "Viimne Reliikvia" (The Last Relic). With our E-Bikes, we will traverse the trails with ease, and all the leftover energy can be used to enjoy the views.You can take part in scheduled hikes or book a private tour for your group at a time suitable for you.

Järvselja Primeval Forest Nature Study Trail

Järvselja nature study trail introduces the forest surrounding the centre of forestry and research. The trail is diverse and passes through a number of forests. Here, you will see the King’s pine (Kuningamänd), which is over 380 years old, as well as spruces that are more than 40 meters high – making them one of the highest trees in Estonia.The trail runs partly on a boardwalk and the route is 1–5 km long. A good starting point is either the Järvselja Hunting Lodge or the guest house, where there are information boards with a map of the trails.Järvselja study trail and the primeval forest represent one of the best locations to discover in Southern Estonia, marked with the yellow frame of National Geographic.

Musical Instruments Museum

The Musical Instruments Museum has more than 3,000 exhibits, which include various musical instruments, as well as other exciting things from other fields. For example, in addition to musical instruments, you can see and explore speakers, microphones, amplifiers, and effects units from different eras. We also have turntables, tape recorders, transistors, telephones, and much more.Organising various concerts has also become a tradition in the Musical Instruments Museum.We also offer a guided tour of the museum!See you soon!

Põlva Central Square

The central square of Põlva is like a living room in the open air. It is a nice meeting place in the city centre that attracts people of all ages. Children can play in the sandbox, on the small slide, and near the fountain. They can also play table tennis. There are long benches for sitting, single stools surrounded by grasses, swings with a backrest, wide stands for lying down, and large blocks for climbing. The traditional market is also open here.The square, completed within the EV100 Spatial Programme, was opened in the summer of 2018. The designers were H. Rebane, E. Metusala, and K. Kuldkepp.Nearby is the Lutheran Church of Blessed Virgin Mary, Lake Põlva, and Põlva Department Store.

Rõuge hill fort and prehistoric settlement

The cultural layer of Rõuge settlement hid several ruins of residential buildings and a number of findings of household items. Subsequent to the settlement is a fortress that is situated on the western part of the natural small cape and where the residential buildings were located, but today, only the end ramparts of the fortress with ditches in front of them can be seen. During Middle Iron Age, people mainly subsisted on slash-and-burn clearance, cattle-breeding was less developed. Some examples of tools of local craftsmen were found among the finds from Rõuge; the finds can be seen in Võrumaa Regional Museum.In 1613, Rõuge is mentioned as a parish for the first time. The modern-day small town came into being in the 19th century.
