During this workshop exploring the tea culture of the Lake Peipsi region, we will learn about the tea drinking customs of the Old Believers and learn about Ivan Chai (fireweed tea), how it is made, and the role it has played in Peipsiveere villages. The workshop takes place at the Varnja Samovar House, which is located in a traditional Old Believer dwelling. There, you can take a closer look at the use of samovars in households around Lake Peipsi, learn about their history, and enjoy tea with the Old Believers' traditional boiled sugar. Depending on the season, participants can also try making Ivan Chai themselves. In the summer, this is done together with the hostess of Mesi Tare, who guides you through the entire process from picking the plant to drying it. During the autumn-winter period, the focus is on Ivan Chai's history and use, discussing its medicinal properties, traditional tea culture, and tasting a variety of tea flavors. The Tartu County Recreational Sports Centre is the perfect place for spending an active vacation, relaxing, and boosting your health. The Gods of the Earth Park in the Sports Centre is a great source of energy! The centre offers something for everybody – children can have fun on a playground and at the Häpi adventure trail, and older people can enjoy disc golf, health trails, the largest network of mobile orienteering trails in Estonia, different sports courts, etc. It is also possible to train in an outdoor gym in the pine forest and put your skills to the test under the guidance of an instructor in shooting, laser shooting, or archery. After a day full of sports, you can relax in a sauna and use a grill house. The centre is a popular location for organising birthdays and summer retreats.

Loov Energia Keraamikahoov is a mysterious place. The entrance, which is made from red bricks, between a low row of bushes, located opposite the old Torma schoolhouse, leads to a somewhat unique yard, where you will find a lovely shop. There, you can learn different ceramic techniques and groups can make something on their own (upon pre-booking). If you wish, you can try to make a small souvenir from clay. The pottery by Erika Aas is special because despite the artist’s creativity, her work is practical and suitable for any interior and coffee or lunch table.

River Mädajõgi (Rotten River) flows through bogs and flood plain forests. The shores are soft or, as the locals call them, rotten. This is how the river got its name. River Mädajõgi marks the border between Estonia and Setomaa. The river is meandering, calm, and there are no fallen trees in the water. Therefore, the river is perfect for beginners. However, it is also exciting for more experienced guests. During the hike, we will see waterfowl and, if we move quietly enough, beavers, elk, and wild boars.The hike is carried out by Matkajuht OÜ. We will send detailed information with instructions to the participants who have registered to the hike.

Spend a night in a fairy tale castle! Four rooms with accommodation for up to eight people await on the second floor of Alatskivi Castle. Each room has a WC and bathroom. In the Tower Room, the most luxurious room of them all, the bed has been placed in a niche in the corner tower. Two of the rooms, the Chambermaid Room and Governess Room, can be combined into one family room.Prices include breakfast in the Castle restaurant.
