Kiviranna Holiday Village, on the shores of Lake Võrtsjärv, is ideal for families, friends, and nature lovers. Kiviranna offers accommodation in a holiday house and a guest apartment. We also offer camping and special caravan sites for hikers. The holiday village also offers sauna lovers the opportunity to use an igloo sauna or a hot tub. From March to June, the café offers delicious smoked fish. Catering for groups can also be ordered. As an additional service, ordering a guided bog hike or a sailing trip on the lake is possible. The total length of the hiking trail in the primeval valley of the Piusa River is 15 km from the ruins of the Vastseliina Episcopal Castle to Lindora or vice versa. You can take the trail on foot, but parts of it are also passable either by bike or car. The highlights of the reserve are the tall Devonian sandstone outcrops – the tallest of them is the wall of Härma Mäemine or the Keldre Wall (total height 43 m, length 150 m). There are two camping sites – under the Make Wall on the first third of the trail and under the Härma Lower Wall towards the end of the trail.The object is not lighted, which is why we recommend to visit it during the day.

Cabins for hikers, an observation tower and a boardwalk attract many nature lovers to the Meenikunno bog. It is a beautiful recreation area. While walking down the boardwalk, you can see the most common bog plants: leather leaf, bog rosemary, crowberry, Marsh Labrador tea, and tussock cottongrass; at the edge of the bog, dwarf birches can also be found. There are also a number of different species of peat moss of various colours. The bravest hikers can try drinking bog water (it has an interesting taste!) from the overgrown ditch near the edge of the bog.Good to know: The boardwalk is pram and wheelchair accessible.

The Fairy Trail, also known as the Vitipalu Adventure Trail, offers a fairytale experience for both children and adults. The trail takes you through the mushroom and berry forests of Elva, where Witch Island awaits, featuring the lovely "Little Witch" house, cool tree sculptures, and a low-adventure trail built in the middle of the forest, perfect for children and families to have a great time in nature. The 1.4 km long trail, part of which is accessible with a stroller, intersects with the Elva River's primeval valley hiking trail and introduces the diverse landscape of Elva. The trail starts and ends at the RMK Jõeharu picnic area and camping site, where several shelters with grills and campfire sites are available.

The campsites and camping area of ​​the Tartu County Health and Sports Centre offer an idyllic holiday among Elva's beautiful pine forests. Our cozy 4-person cabins, 6-person cottages, and spacious camping area are perfect for families, friends, hikers, or for organizing camps. Public showers and toilets are located in the main building, where you can also enjoy breakfast with a reservation. There is a barbecue area for relaxation, and for active recreation, there is archery, shooting ranges, disc golf, hiking trails, and fat bike rental. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy an active outdoor vacation! The Tartu County Health and Sports Centre is waiting for you!

Maarjamäe House is cosy place for families and smaller companies. You are welcome to use the sauna or have barbeque in the fireplace. A fence surrounds the house, so kids don’t have access to the pond or road.

Jõesuu Tourist Farm campsites are located in a beautiful natural setting right on the shore of Lake Võrtsjärv and are ideal for families, small groups of up to six people, and pets. The cozy cabins offer simple yet comfortable accommodation in the heart of nature, where you can enjoy peace, lake views, and a pleasant holiday. Guests have access to a separate shared kitchen equipped with necessary supplies and laundry facilities, located just a short walk from the camping cabins. Pikasilla recreation area, located in Põdrala rural municipality by the southern tip of Lake Võrtsjärv, is easily accessible and has a strategically good location by a waterway (at the mouth of the River Emajõgi). The place has become well-known as a venue of sports competitions and various public events.
