Kick sledge hike on the ice of Lake Pühajärv or along the sports tracks

Otepää's excellent snow conditions and varied landscape with narrow forest trails and prepared sleigh roads are perfect for kick sledging. Ice conditions permitting, an entirely unique experience is provided by a kick sledge hike across the lake ice.Many participants haven't used a kick sledge since their childhood. Some try it for the first time; however, anyone can master it!The guides add fun to the gathering breaks with games and exciting tales about nature.During the 2–4 hour hike, we will cover about 7 km of winter roads.The size of the group starts from 10 people.This is an EHE product (ecotourism quality mark Genuine and Interesting Estonia).

Many birds and animals await you at "Talu ja loomad" (Farm and Animals) hobby farm, located in Kulli village in Tartu County! At the farm you can see various birds: chickens, the world's smallest seramas, ducks, turkeys, and geese. We will observe beavers on the Emajõgi River. The canoe trip is for small groups and includes an experienced guide who instructs on both the canoeing and beaver-watching.There are a lot of brave beavers on the Emajõgi River. If you act correctly, you can see them from very close up.The trip does not require any special ability or canoeing experience, which means it is also suitable for beginners. We have stable wide-bottomed hiking canoes that are very safe. Besides, the Emajõgi River is a calm river with no waterfalls or other obstacles in the way.

St. Paul’s Church in Tartu

You are invited to Obinitsa Museum to dress up! The Seto culture workshop "Putting on Seto clothes" is about putting on Seto women's clothes. One member of the company or group will put on the garments. While dressing, the guide will tell you how a Seto woman and man should dress according to tradition, including how to distinguish a married woman from an unmarried girl. The historical context and significance of the objects in Seto culture will also be presented. Come and learn about Seto folk costumes and history!

Varnja Samovar House

Peipsiveere Samovar House is a small museum in the Old Believers' village of Varnja that introduces visitors to the world of samovars and tea culture along Lake Peipsi. The private collection, accumulated over decades, contains more than 200 diverse samovars. From simple tin samovars to rare ones with elaborate engravings, reflecting the skills and traditions of masters from different eras. The exhibition, located in an authentic Old Believers' house, offers visitors insight into why the samovar was more than just a kettle for centuries. Stories reveal the origins of samovars, manufacturing techniques, usage methods, different design types, and tea-drinking traditions in the communities along the lake. Every guest can taste genuine samovar tea and the famous Ivan chai, and try traditional boiled sugar with the tea, an integral part of Old Believers' tea culture. If desired, one can also explore handmade samovar accessories and hear stories from the hostess of Mesi Tare about preparing, serving, and respectfully preserving tea.
