Restaurant Wagenküll offers modern comfort in a historic atmosphere, as well as a view of the beautiful castle park. We have an open kitchen, which means the dishes are prepared before your very eyes – the signature dishes of Wagenküll are cooked in a Josper charcoal oven and all year round, we use as much raw ingredients from the forests and farms of southern Estonia as possible. Tasty food and good service are one of the key factors for a great holiday and a successful business trip. The menu is modern but also includes historical dishes characteristic of the castle.

On the quiet Veski Street, on the hillside of Toomemäe, anyone who has a sweet tooth, should pop by the Cake Shop Mandel, where the counter covered with delicious cakes is set in a cosy atmosphere and each piece of furniture and dish has a story to tell.Here, at the cosy cake shop Mandel, mouth-watering pastries are made from the produce of local small farms. In our delicacies, we use unrefined sugars and there are no additives in the cakes of Mandel. Our cosy cafe is waiting for you with delicious coffee and cakes. It is also possible to buy or order our pastries to go. We also make delicious savory and sweet pastries for your party table.

Villa Margaretha is a meeting place with a romantic atmosphere which is a little mysterious and implores you to return again and again. Creaky wooden staircases and banging doors are a thing of the past in guesthouses – nothing is likely to wake you here! Restored to its former glory, the guesthouse is an attraction in its own right in the city of Tartu. Jakob Hurt (22.07.1839-13.01.1907) was an Estonian folklorist and linguist. He studied theology in the University of Tartu and gained his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Helsinki in 1886. He played the leading role in many major events of the Estonian national movements.The monument to Jakob Hurt (1839-1907) was completed in 1994. Its authors are J Soans and R Tomingas.

Päikseranna Holiday House is a peaceful place in a deep forest with a beautiful lake and beach. Nearby you will find the Piusa Caves Visitor Centre (13 km), the Värska Sanatorium Water Park (15 km), the Seto Farm Museum (14 km), the Meenikunno bog (20 km) and the Vana Vastseliina castle (30 km). Riding from one attraction to the next on a bike, largely along forest tracks, is particularly enjoyable.

Mesi Tare Holiday Home is a cozy place to stay in Varnja, on the shores of Lake Peipsi. Mesi Tare offers the opportunity to relax and experience life in a genuine Old Believer house, just as it has been lived in for about a hundred years, in peace and quiet on the shores of Lake Peipsi. We rent out the entire house at once. The rooms are simple and comfortable. Guests can use the ground floor of the house with a kitchenette, a fireplace room (ideal for organizing seminars and work meetings), and a Finnish sauna.
