If you are exploring the Onion Route in a campervan or caravan, you can spend the night at Peipsi Caravan camping. The recreation area, which has been transformed into a natural park and is located in an old farmyard, has ten caravan sites with electricity. There is also enough space for campers with tents. You can take domestic water from a well.In winter period (from October until March) you can rent the whole holiday home, which accommodates 6 people. Karusaare dogsled trips in Tartu County offer unforgettable experiences throughout the year in the forest landscape of Järvselja and the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve in Emajõe-Suursoo. From autumn to spring, we move on off-road carts and, in winter, when there is enough snow, on traditional sleds. You can choose a shorter trip or a longer journey. It is an appropriate activity for the whole family, including children over the age of 3. The hike begins and ends at the sled dog training center, where the instructor shares the necessary safety and driving instructions. On our journey, we take short breaks to water the dogs, and on longer journeys, we stop by the fire to enjoy a bit of heat, light, and warm food. If you wish, you can also order catering to make your trip even more memorable. Trips only take place when the air temperature is below +12 °C and there is no storm warning or wind gusting above 15 m/s.

The symbol of the Ice Age Centre is the mammoths that lived in this area 10,000 years ago. You will also encounter cave lions, ancient deer, and other Ice Age animals to learn how nature developed. The exhibitions clearly and engagingly explain the causes of climate change, the impact of human activity on the environment, and possible future scenarios. In the centre, you can move at your own pace, participate in themed tours, or use an audio guide suitable for both adults and children. The family-friendly environment makes the visit interesting for visitors of all ages. During the summer season, you can enhance your visit with a raft ride on Lake Saadjärve, and year-round, you are welcome at the Ice Age Centre café.

Café Newton, located in the center of Tartu at the AHHAA Science Center, is a pleasant place for both lunch and leisure. Our menu offers a refreshing, varied selection of daily specials and classic dishes. The selection includes soups, various steaks, and vegetarian dishes. Every day, a fresh cake selection is displayed at the counter, delighting every sweet tooth. A separate menu is provided for children, tailored to our young guests, along with a children's play area offering plenty of activities for longer periods. Café Newton offers catering for training sessions, seminars, birthdays, and other events at AHHAA. It is also convenient to organize a company Christmas party, a birthday party, or a family lunch here. Café Newton's menu is flexible and caters to all tastes. During the summer, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Tartu from our spacious terrace. No AHHAA ticket is required to visit Café Newton, and entry is free for everyone. AHHAA visitors can visit the café throughout their stay at the center.

Toomemäe Park, a natural hill with a rich history, is one of the favorite places for Tartu residents to enjoy greenery without leaving the city. In the cathedral located here, you can visit the University of Tartu Museum, which provides an overview of the university's history and scientific research, and enjoy the views from the towers' observation platforms. While walking in the romantic English-style park, don't miss the beautiful Angel Bridge with its twin Devil's Bridge, statues, outdoor exhibitions, and university buildings, such as the observatory and the old anatomical museum. The park is accessible with a stroller, there is a playground for toddlers and a sports park for more active visitors.

HollyFood is a fun place to stay for young guests as well – we have a children's menu, a children's corner, and a baby changing mat. The extensive menu includes nutritious roasts (including daily specials), healthy salads, craft burgers, and vegetarian dishes. All dishes are freshly prepared on site. We cook grilled dishes on the Big Green Egg charcoal grill. HollyFood also offers a catering service for events and you can also order take-away.
