Tartu Toy Museum, situated in the Old Town of Tartu, takes adults back to the brighter days of their childhood and offers children plenty of interesting things to see and do.The permanent exhibition displays toys that Estonian children have played with throughout the years. Artist-made dolls, souvenir dolls of different nations, and Finno-Ugric traditional toys are also exhibited. Playrooms and workshops are also open. You can see puppets from Estonian puppet films and temporary exhibitions in the outbuilding. The museum also has a theatre building named ’Teatri kodu’ (The Home of Theatre) with a theatre hall, a museum of puppets, and a children’s studio.

Although West Estonia is known to most of people as a place to observe migratory birds in the spring, then Southeast Estonia is almost as fascinating. At Lämmijärv and its surrounding region it is possible to encounter various migratory waterfowls and local eagles. In addition, we also have virgin forests with rivers and wetlands, where one can observe different species of owls, woodpeckers, hazel grouses and forest birds such as crossbills, northern goshawks, river kingfishers, etc. You can encounter a moose or hear the howling of a wolf. Anderson Brewery in Tartu offers an excellent opportunity to participate in a barbecue and beer workshop, where you can enjoy grilled meat and taste Estonian craft beers! The workshop will teach you the basics of grilling, such as choosing meat, grilling beef and duck breast fillets, and making chimichurri herb sauce. During the brewery tour, we will taste eight different beers, learn about the history of beer, get acquainted with the brewing process, and explore the factory shop and the backstage of the brewery. Lake Peipus Living Room is a permanent exhibition that gives visitors information about the natural conditions in Lake Peipus and the lives of people living by the lake. You can see models of the 34 species of fish that inhabit Lake Peipus. There is also a three-dimensional model of the lake that is 4 m long and 1.4 m wide and also shows the location of the towns and villages, accommodation establishments, museums, watchtowers and other places of interest near the lake.The Mustvee beach by Lake Peipus is marked with a yellow National Geographic window; it is one of the 21 places worth discovering in Southern Estonia. A scooter: interesting, attractive and definitely worth a try! Our scooters are modern, lightweight, thoughtfully designed and perfect for use on cross-country trails. The hiking trail, winding through the diverse landscape, is peppered with many picturesque sights including the Small and Big Taevaskoda, the Ahja River, Otten Stone Bridge, shooting locations of the hit movie "Viimne reliikvia" (The Last Relic), accompanied by bird songs and whispers of the forest. When exploring the nature on a scooter, you will forget your everyday problems and experience the full beauty and tranquility of nature.This hike, led by a guide, lasts between 2 and 3 hours. The Theatre House takes its inspiration from our childhood, the games we played, the dreams we had, and the fantasies we brought to life. The Theatre House stages plays, but you can also put on your own show, play games, make handicrafts, and discover what goes on behind the scenes in the theatre world. There is a children’s studio on the first floor, in which children’s groups can take part in theatre-themed programmes. Visitors find a museum, an automated puppet theatre, and several exciting theatre-themed exhibitions in the basement level.
