The total length of the hiking trail in the primeval valley of the Piusa River is 15 km from the ruins of the Vastseliina Episcopal Castle to Lindora or vice versa. You can take the trail on foot, but parts of it are also passable either by bike or car. The highlights of the reserve are the tall Devonian sandstone outcrops – the tallest of them is the wall of Härma Mäemine or the Keldre Wall (total height 43 m, length 150 m). There are two camping sites – under the Make Wall on the first third of the trail and under the Härma Lower Wall towards the end of the trail.The object is not lighted, which is why we recommend to visit it during the day.

The "Suur Sume" barge is the largest wooden sailing ship built in the Baltic States after World War II. Räpina beach is the perfect place for a holiday and for all kinds of water sports. The favourable winds have made it a popular destination among kite-surfers and windsurfers in spring and summer. There is a viewing tower on the beach that has excellent views over the polder, to Lake Lämmijärv and across the border into Russia. The beach is lit at night.

Kirna’s 6.8 km study trail provides a good opportunity to explore the Pedja River meadows and forest. To gain a better view of the meadows and river, the Altmetsa Farm has an observation tower. A suspension bridge helps to cross the river. On the right bank of the Pedja River, you will find the magnificent oak tree Musutamm. The trails of wild boars and beavers can also be seen on the study trail.While on the trail, you might hear gunfire as the Kirna Training Centre of the Defence League is close by. The access roads to the meadows intersect the study trail in several places, please carefully follow the trail marking!

The real Mecca for family holidays and business clients is located in Otepää. The golf centre is located a stone’s throw from Tartu Airport (37 km). The area has attractions for families, history and culture enthusiasts, athletes, and shoppers alike.The golf course runs through Otepää Nature Park, which has scenic views of the restaurant and even seminar rooms for business clients. Our club restaurant is the only one in Estonia that is recognised by the Flavours of Estonia and Äripäev restaurant charts. A popular place for a private or business event.Families can use the children’s playroom. Transport is provided by Otepää taxi.

Pähni Nature Centre is the central point of Haanja-Karula Recreation Area that belongs to the State Forest Management Centre (RMK). In the Pähni Nature Centre you are invited to visit the forest museum, use the library, take a look at the exhibition of postcards depicting forest and get further information on the recreation possibilities provided by the RMK. There is a rest area near Pähni Nature Centre, where you can camp and barbeque, have a picnic or take a swim in summer.

Rent your SUP board and enjoy the ride on the River Ahja, Emajõgi või nearby rivers and lakes. From our location, you can conveniently take the SUP board to Taevaskoda, nearby Lake Ahijärve as well as Võngjärve. Taevaskoda is just 20 minutes away from the rental spot, Ahijärv is 5 km and Võngjärv 10 km. You can use the SUP board also in the city of Tartu!The rental price includes safety equipment. Two sets are available. Price starting from 30 € / 24 h.Additional services on the River Ahja: speedboat, boat and floating sauna rental, wakeboarding and tubing.
