A tour of the main building of the National Archives!During the tour, we will introduce you to various repositories, work, and office spaces, as well as research halls and libraries. You can, of course, see centuries-old and newer unique archival documents with your own eyes.It is possible to order documents on a specific topic to get acquainted with during the tour.For the tour to go smoothly, we recommend a group size of up to 20 people.The length of the tour is about 1.5 hours.

Join the long-distance sled dog team training in Tartu County and experience something that not everyone can! Your role is simple but important – you sit on a special terrain cart as extra weight and enjoy an adrenaline-filled ride with a professional racing team. Meanwhile, we will unveil the behind-the-scenes of the sled dog world – discussing training methods, competitions, and the unique aspects of the dogs' work. You will be guided by Estonia's first musher to participate in long-distance races, Heinrich Lukk, whose experience extends to the challenging tracks of Norway and Finland. During the training, you will see a racing team of eight Alaskan huskies in action and practicing simpler practical tasks. The training lasts 2 to 3 hours, takes place from September to November, and is suitable for only one participant at a time, which makes the experience personal and special. Put on rubber boots or hiking shoes, choose weatherproof clothing, and come to Tartu County for an adventure that will be remembered for a lifetime!

The museum is housed in Betti Alver’s home next to the Jõgeva railway station.The museum gives an overview of Betti Alver’s life and works, also perpetuates the memory of Alo Mattiisen and acquaints visitors with the historic and cultural heritage of Jõgeva.

The Pilgrim House introduces visitors to everything related to medieval pilgrims and pilgrimages. Here you can get acquainted with various medieval holy places and pilgrimage destinations. One of them, the most famous in Northern Europe, was located right here in the Holy Cross Chapel of the Vastseliina Bishopric! Thanks to the interactive exhibit, visitors can experience firsthand what a medieval pilgrim felt, what he feared, and what he loved. You can play medieval board games, and with prior arrangements, we offer various experience packages, including period and themed meals prepared in the Pilgrim House oven to fill your stomach!

We start by meeting in the car park of the Sangaste castle by the yellow window of NG, and will continue from there by bus.The first part of the hike takes us through the Valli quaking swamp on bogshoes. From there, we are going to move closer to the forest park, take a look at the rare species of trees in the dendrological park and enjoy the views across the Juudaoru valley.There will be a picnic at a mystical campfire site.The hike ends in the castle park where you will learn about the history of the manor and rye up to the formation of the cooperation network of Rukkiküla. We will also test the famous echo effect of the castle.

The KGB Cells Museum, known as the "Grey House", is a historical museum in Tartu, where the NKVD/KGB was located in the 1940s and 1950s. The basement of the building, where the cells were located, is open to visitors. Several cells, the punishment cells, and the basement corridor have been restored to their historical form. The prison cells are filled with an exhibition that provides an overview of Estonia's post-war struggle for freedom and the crimes of the communist regime. Here you can see photographs and objects from Siberian prison camps, as well as materials on the history of the Forest Brotherhood and secret resistance organizations. The 24 h raft hike a versatile adventure, which is suitable for both company events and gatherings of friends.The raft hike begins and ends at the Kavastu village harbour, next to the Kavastu ferry. After a light meal and raft training, the adventure begins. On rafts, we take an 18–24 km journey until reaching the raft house on the River Kalli, where you will have dinner and can enjoy a sauna to gather energy for the return trip the following morning. The tour ends at Kavastu harbour.
