During the pleasant cultural and literary tour, we walk along the cultural street of Vanemuise and in the charming Karlova district that has a bohemian flair.Vanemuise tänav is associated with several significant events and institutions that have become the cornerstones of Estonian culture and society.The Karlova district includes unique and enjoyable wooden architecture and related cultural history.We will look for literary traces related to the area in the urban space and, if desired, make a stop in a cosy café.The exact length, price, and content of the tour will be determined in accordance with the client's interests.

Arch Bridge (Kaarsild) is a pedestrian bridge between the city centre and the Ülejõe district. It was built in 1957–1959 to replace the former Kivisild bridge, on the foundations of its abutments. Before the bridge was completed, a long rowing boat was used to regularly transport people over the river in the 1950s.The bridge was renovated in 2017. In the dark, the bridge is illuminated and additionally, musical works, accompanied by a light show, can be seen that are synchronised with the bell ringing of the town hall. The sound and light design is a unique public space project of its kind in Estonia.Next to the bridge, there is also a model of the Kivisild bridge that was destroyed in World War II.

Karilatsi Open Air Museum is a unique open air museum in Southern Estonia which provides an overview of the life of Vana-Võromaa County about 100 years ago.On the 5-hectare territory of the museum, you can experience moments from the school life and farm work of that time and get to know everyday simple tools. Workshops and lessons on traditions and customs: smoke sauna customs, Võromaa wedding customs, celebrations, folk calendar year, and many other experience programmes (e.g. court session in Võru language, old school lesson). You can see a school, a court, and an almshouse with their smaller buildings, a granary, a barn-dwelling, a cottar farm, and a Dutch windmill. Agricultural machinery and vehicles are also on display. Ticket sales to the museum end one hour before closing.

Turgi Handicraft Farm offers a creative holiday by weaving on looms.The selection includes various several-day courses, because the hostess Veinika Västrik introduces the basics of weaving to the beginners and more complex weaving techniques to the more experienced participants. Delicious and healthy meals are offered to the participants three times a day by the host Ergo.See the course dates at the homepage. Who are the Russian Old Believers? How and when did they arrive in Estonia? Why did they settle in the Peipsi region, and what are their customs? Why have they grown onions this way for centuries? The Old Believers Museum in Kolkja is located on the Onion Route and tells visitors the story of the Peipsi Region's Russian Old Believers. The exhibition is in Estonian, English, and Russian and includes virtual reality, where you can experience the Old Believer prayer. We also offer hour-long guided tours in Estonian and Russian. The first stone bridge to be constructed in the Baltic States was erected in the 18th century at one end of the Town Hall Square in Tartu, with two triumphal arches and a raisable mid-section. Dedicated to Russian empress Catherine II, it was opened to traffic in 1784. The bridge was destroyed during World War II. All that remains to admire is the 2004 model of the bridge (created by Tiiu Kirsipuu).

St Zachariah’s and St Elizabeth’s Orthodox Church in Räpina is a neo-Classical oblong building consisting of three parts. In the Western part there is a bell tower and in the Eastern part a crescent-shaped apsis. A cupola with a tambour is in the middle of the building. The exterior of the building is in classical style, incorporating cornices and rustic work. Simple iconostasis of the 19th century catches the eye in the interior.
