The 19th-century Tartu Citizen's Home Museum is located in one of the most unique areas of Tartu's Old Town, close to St. John's Church. The museum is housed in a wooden building completed in the 1740s, making it one of the oldest surviving residential houses in Tartu. With its historical ambiance and meticulously restored interior, the building takes visitors back to the early 19th century, when Tartu was a vibrant city of wealthy citizens and craftsmen. At the museum, you can learn more about the daily lives of urban citizens in the 1830s. Various rooms, furnished in the German Biedermeier style typical of the era, can be seen. The cozy, authentic atmosphere offers an opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of everyday life in a 19th-century Tartu home. During the summer season, a small garden is open, where plants and flowers of the period thrive, offering a glimpse of what urban greenery might have looked like almost two centuries ago. It is possible to participate in guided, thematic tours and educational programs.

A scooter: interesting, attractive and definitely worth a try! Our scooters are modern, lightweight, thoughtfully designed and perfect for use on cross-country trails. The hiking trail, winding through the diverse landscape, is peppered with many picturesque sights including the Small and Big Taevaskoda, the Ahja River, Otten Stone Bridge, shooting locations of the hit movie "Viimne reliikvia" (The Last Relic), accompanied by bird songs and whispers of the forest. When exploring the nature on a scooter, you will forget your everyday problems and experience the full beauty and tranquility of nature.This hike, led by a guide, lasts between 2 and 3 hours. Kagu hostel is a bargain accommodation suitable for a thrifty traveller and sits on the outskirts a few kilometres from the city centre and Lake Tamula. The hostel has light-filled rooms, with a stove, microwave, fridge and kettle in the public kitchen corner. We have free parking for hostel visitors. also has free Internet (WiFi) throughout the hostel. Good to know: the City of Võru stadium and sports centre remain near the Kagu hostel.

Räpina Mäemõisa Manor House, also known as Sillapää Castle representing the Late Classical style was built in the middle of the 19th century. The centre and annexes of the original building had two storeys which were connected with one-storey galleries. The rear of the building is decorated by four Ionic columns with triangular pediment portico. In 1924 the predecessor of the gardening school started its activities in the building. During 1937-1938 the castle was reconstructed as a fully two-storey building. Today the Manor House accommodates the Räpina Local Lore and Gardening Museum, the Räpina Music School and the Räpina Folk School.

Tartu Pioneers' Alley is an alley of footprints by Tasku Centre, on the side of Riia Street, which values the people who have contributed to the development of Tartu and encourages others to walk in their shoes.The alley was established in 2010 when the sculptor Bruno Kadak installed bronze footprints there. Each autumn, a new set of footprints is added to the alley.

A kicksledding trip through Taevaskoja in South Estonia will take you to a true winter wonderland!
