Otepää's excellent snow conditions and varied landscape with narrow forest trails and prepared sleigh roads are perfect for kick sledging. Ice conditions permitting, an entirely unique experience is provided by a kick sledge hike across the lake ice.Many participants haven't used a kick sledge since their childhood. Some try it for the first time; however, anyone can master it!The guides add fun to the gathering breaks with games and exciting tales about nature.During the 2–4 hour hike, we will cover about 7 km of winter roads.The size of the group starts from 10 people.This is an EHE product (ecotourism quality mark Genuine and Interesting Estonia).
Humala Kalabaas is a home business offering services related to fishing and operating on the banks of the Emajõgi River. In addition to the fishing spot with an accommodation on the banks of the Emajõgi River and boat rental with the possibility of overnight stay, we offer the opportunity to rent a motorboat Amur with a driver, so that you can see with your own eyes the largest swamp of Emajõe Suursoo in all its glory. It is wild, beautiful, rich in species, isolated, and majestic. We will sail 25km to Praaga swamp village and, if the weather permits, also a little on Lake Peipsi. Sunrise, daytime and sunset tours are all possible. 1 trip max 4 people and about 2.5 hours. We offer rain clothes for 4 people.
A hike about a kilometre long with a guide and lanterns on the territory of Kalevipoeg's Home. We will visit the local history exhibition in ancient buildings and the playground, pass through a pine forest and the adventure park. We will drink tea that has been boiled on a campfire.Suitable for groups of different ages - kindergarten children, school groups, groups of coworkers, families, friend groups, etc. Catering can also be arranged and rooms can be rented in the community centre or museum. The lantern tour can be a part of your visit or a special occasion for a visit.Addditionally, you can visit the Kalevipoeg Museum and go sledding, ice skating and tubing in winter when there's snow.
An adventurous orienteering game Lost Fear will take you into a post-apocalyptic sci-fi and fantasy world. On the prepared course studded with wild nature, industrial, and military heritage surprises and adventures, you will experience startling moments filled with excitement and surprise and the sense of accomplishment from exceeding yourself.The duration of the game, depending on the pace of walking, is 2-4 hours; the distance is ca 6 km. It does not require special physical preparation and the game will take place at any time of the year with any type of weather. Number of participants upon agreement.Games with single tickets take place every two months on special events in Tartu and Tallinn region.
The wetlands, bogs, and forests of the Peipsiveere Nature Reserve are rich in berries and mushrooms, and picking them has always been a summer tradition for Estonians. Led by an experienced guide with a forager's soul, we will hike to places where you can find Estonian nature's top delicacies, like blueberries and cranberries. We will learn how to find these berry and mushroom spots, what to pick, what to leave in the forest, and how to preserve berries and mushrooms for the winter. The trips take place from mid-July to mid-October. At the end of the trip, we will prepare a delicious dish from the natural products we have picked over a campfire in the forest. The areas surrounding the rivers and bogs of Lake Peipsi have historically been sparsely populated due to the wet soil. The main means of transportation were rivers and waterways through the bog, which froze in winter. We invite you to explore these frozen winter roads with your family and pets! Most of the winter roads still exist today, and the most important one runs from Kodavere to Varnja. We will walk and hike through the bog along the old winter roads with Mesi Tare owner Marko and discuss their importance. We will have a picnic, and, if we are lucky, we will find especially sweet cranberries in the bog! We do part of the journey by karakat, a truck made by the locals to travel over the ice of Lake Peipsi. The hike will only take place during cold winters when there is ice!
During the kayaking trip we will be introducing to you Lake Pühajärv and its islands, enjoy the beautiful lake views and Estonian summer.The picnic place will be RMK Kooliranna campfire site.For the kayaking trips, we use stable, comfortable, safe and easily steered two-person kayaks. The price of the trip includes a place in the kayak with equipment, guiding service, substantial trip peal (soup, pastry, tea or juice, sweet pastry or fruit) and bottled water to quench your thirst.Come and enjoy the nature with your friends or colleagues!
Come and experience an adventure at the Agirregoikoa Kennel with Nordic sled dogs! A kennel visit lasts approximately 1.5-2 hours, during which you can enjoy a 1.5 km long sled ride. After the ride, you can walk with the dogs and pet and cuddle them. Choose your favorite dog, take selfies, capture a memorable moment with a large group photo, and enjoy hot tea or coffee. We warm up and share stories about the dog breed and history. Sled dogs are therapy for children. We do sled rides with snow and cart rides without snow. Only kennel visits are offered during the summer period.
