Kogo Gallery

Kogo Gallery is an internationally operating contemporary art gallery located in Tartu’s Aparaaditehas. The gallery focuses on a younger generation of artists and supports their international visibility by introducing their work to a wider audience. Kogo’s mission is to foster free creation, interdisciplinary thinking, imagination, and novel ideas, and to initiate and maintain creative relationships by bringing together creative individuals and art enthusiasts.
The gallery’s diverse exhibition program features both solo projects by artists and curator-created exhibitions. In addition to exhibitions, Kogo organizes a variety of public programs at the gallery. The gallery also involves experts from different fields in its activities to develop dialogue on important societal issues.
Kogo Gallery offers visitors numerous art experiences, including exhibitions and art sales, art rental for special events, gallery tours for groups, gallery space rental for special events, and curating and advising art collectors.

Baer House in Tartu

Come and take a look at the one-storey classicist wooden building on the slope of Toomemägi in Tartu. Naturalist Karl Ernst von Baer used to live in the house from 1869 to 1896. The house was restored and turned into the Baer House Museum in 1976. The building currently belongs to the Estonian University of Life Sciences and houses the von Baer Natural History Centre.

Alatskivi Castle Horse Stable Exhibition

The interactive exhibition at Alatskivi Castle's horse stable provides a good overview of manor life. The central part of the exhibition is a drawing of the Alatskivi Manor estate grounds, which explains the management and living environment of the entire complex. You will learn what role purebred dog breeding played in the manor, how forestry was managed, how much income Alatskivi Manor earned, and where the money came from to build the fairytale castle. Rare Metsavenna Farm

At the Metsavenna Farm located on the Estonian-Latvian border, you have a unique opportunity to search for forest brothers in hiding places during a forest brother hike, stay in a bunker, and listen to true stories.The experience continues at the Metsavenna eatery, where simple yet authentic food from the era is served: boiled potatoes with skins, butter, salt, and juice. The visit concludes with a musical experience – singing the song of the former Härmiku forest brothers' orchestra. A. Le Coq Beer Museum

The A. Le Coq Beer Museum lets you see, hear, and taste the story of beer. You'll learn brewing history from ancient Egypt to the present day. The museum displays the ingredients needed to brew beer, describes the brewing process, and exhibits old production facilities. The heart of the museum is the historic malt tower, where the exciting 200-year history of A. Le Coq unfolds. At the end of the visit, you can enjoy a cold beer or lemonade at the museum's bar and peruse the gift shop. You can visit the museum on your own or with a guide.

Nature Tours Estonia overnight paddleboard trips on the waters of Emajõe-Suursoo

Emajõe-Suursoo is an interesting and vibrant water maze of several rivers and lakes. We will ride SUP or paddle boards through the watery labyrinth from Emajõe-Suursoo to Lake Peipsi, where we will cook a delicious dinner over a live fire, rest our feet, and spend the night on a wild beach in hanging beds. There is an opportunity to swim, and those who do not want to sleep in can enjoy the sunrise! The trip includes basic SUP training, equipment, two meals, hanging bed rental, and hiking guide service. Lodjakoja (Barge Center) Theme Park

At the Barge Center Theme Park, you can observe how a historical 24-meter-long two-masted Emajõe-Peipsi barge is built. You can also craft model barges, learn sailor skills, visit the forge, try old-time barge-related tasks, and explore the history of barge shipping. In the cinema area, you can watch films about barges and slide shows. We offer guided tours and workshops for groups upon prior reservation.Lodjakoja is a historical ship-building center, museum, theme park, and conference and exhibition venue. Viking and barge journeys begin here, and we have our own café and harbor. Explore an educational trail that introduces shipbuilding and forge work. Try out the sailing simulator that takes you on the water, and the test pool lets you try out your homemade model barge. Small visitors will be delighted by the play ship, sandbox-boat, and block corner, while older ones can puzzle over 3D puzzles. Everyone will enjoy the rope-pulling machine and old-time sports games. Karilatsi Open Air Museum

Karilatsi Open Air Museum is a unique open air museum in Southern Estonia which provides an overview of the life of Vana-Võromaa County about 100 years ago.On the 5-hectare territory of the museum, you can experience moments from the school life and farm work of that time and get to know everyday simple tools. Workshops and lessons on traditions and customs: smoke sauna customs, Võromaa wedding customs, celebrations, folk calendar year, and many other experience programmes (e.g. court session in Võru language, old school lesson). You can see a school, a court, and an almshouse with their smaller buildings, a granary, a barn-dwelling, a cottar farm, and a Dutch windmill. Agricultural machinery and vehicles are also on display. Ticket sales to the museum end one hour before closing.

Dr. Fr. R. Kreutzwald Memorial Museum

The museum features the home of Friedrich Reinhold Kreutzwald (1803-1882), a physician and the founder of Estonian national literature, in Võru and gives a good overview of his activities. His living quarters reflect the interior design typical of the time; the garden house accommodates literary exposition. In the storehouse there is an exhibition of art inspired by Kreutzwald’s writings, reprints and translations of his works. The stable features different vehicles and the fairy-tale room several ethnographic objects. There are also a cellar, sauna, well, garden and an arbour in the museum complex. The activity room is designed for handicraft, drawing and constructing.
