Kiisa Jahi- ja Matkamaja — a beautiful holiday home in a quiet spot in the country

The Pokuland theme park on the borders of Võru and Põlva Counties was created after a children’s book, Pokumaa by Edgar Valter, and its main characters – Pokus. Pokus were created after sedge tussocks, or clumps of long, thick grass that grow in the bogs.The world of Pokus begins with the visitor's centre – Pokuhall – that looks like a twin-Poku and surprises guests with its unique stairways, passages and interior design elements. In the Pokuhall visitors can see original illustrations and oil paintings by Edgar Valter, get to know his creative work and make Pokus themselves. There are many other activities and events, such as study trails to introduce local nature, village swings to ride, as well as picnic and camping sites.

Rahamäe Holiday Home is located on the border between Estonian and Latvia, 12 km from Valga towards Viljandi. Our Holiday Home is suitable for an overnight stay, spending holidays, organizing corporate events, celebrating special occasions or holding reunions and seminars. At Rahamäe, you can have a sauna and then go for a refreshing dip in the pond next to the sauna. Our guests can also use a grill house where they can grill meat on hot coals or take advantage of our summer house in order to organize summer events.Come and enjoy a relaxing holiday in the midst of lovely scenery!

In the former tavern building by the Piusa River, the Vasekoja Guesthouse on the second floor offers comfortable rooms (2 triple and 2 quadruple), shower rooms, and a relaxation and kitchen area with a refrigerator, microwave, and kettle. Outdoors, you can use the shelter and grill. For children, there is a playground with swings, a sandbox, a climbing track, and a volleyball court. You can take a trip on the Piusa primeval valley hiking trail and visit the sights of Võrumaa and Setomaa. The leisure center also has a holiday house with 10 sleeping places and party rooms accommodating 50 people. Good to know: We offer catering upon pre-order.

The exhibition at the Räpina Local History and Gardening Museum provides an overview of the manor and parish of Räpina, the history of the town, its tradition of gardening education and one of the oldest paper factories in Europe. A stroll around the castle park and the flowerbeds of the Gardening School is a must.

The relief of the 10 km ski track of Tehvandi Sports Centre is easy and invites you to ski classic style or freestyle. The tracks starts from the Tehvandi Stadium and initially runs along the Tartu Marathon track, then turn left near Ansomäe and gets back to the start through Savimäe, Kasemetsa, Tehvandi fen and Linnamäe.The track at Tehvandi is suitable for amateur skiers even though it is also used by professionals for training and competitions.

Church of Blessed Virgin Mary in Torma is a late baroque trapezoidal aisleless church. The completed church was blessed in 1767 and in 1868, it was made more pseudogothic.There is a cup-shaped pulpit and people compare it to Noah’s ship. Services are held at the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary in Torma every Sunday at 11 a.m.

Tartu County Recreational Sports Center Hostel is nestled in the pine forests of Elva, offering athletes, active families, and pets comfortable accommodation and a variety of additional services. The hostel can accommodate up to 38 guests in the courtyard house and offers modern amenities, including a kitchen and saunas. The center features conference rooms, barbecue areas, various sports facilities, including a gym, archery range, shooting range, and sports equipment rental, as well as pleasant forest and hiking trails for exercise. The emotional and powerful memorial (2016) was erected to honour the harsh fate of the people deported from Võru and Võru County from 1941 to 1952. The sculptor is Jaak Soans.The memorial depicts two rows of bronze animal wagons placed on a concrete block 1.6 metres high, with human figures visible between them. A ramp made of original railway sleepers and dolomite gravel, which is 4 metres wide and 16 metres long, takes to the memorial. The total length of the memorial complex is almost 24 meters.
