In the historic basement of Alatskivi Castle, a workshop led by a master potter awaits you, where you can sculpt cups, bowls, or other clay objects yourself. This experience combines creativity, craftsmanship, and the unique atmosphere of the manor. Book a workshop in advance! However, if you visit the castle with children and master Tanel is working at the same time, you can leave the children to sculpt in the pottery room—it's often the children's favorite activity at the manor! Tanel glazes the finished objects himself and sends them to your home by mail. Beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects sculpted by Tanel himself can be purchased as souvenirs. The Art Studio sells great Estonian oil paintings and graphic art, high-class leather and wood goods and high temperature ceramics by Aivar Rumvolt. Please do not hesitate to call on us, if you need a special gift for your guest. The Avatud Ateljee Studio organises different courses: you are welcome to sign up for pottery, calligraphy, binding or leatherwork classes. In addition the studio organises poetry reading nights and meetings with artists. Groups can also visit Aivar Rumvolt’s pottery shop in Kubja by previous appointment. In summer there are workshops both for grown-ups and the young.

It is important to us that craftspeople are recognized, valued, and respected. Over the years, more than 150 craft enthusiasts have joined the craft store "Magasiait." The store features products created with care by locals as well as creations by master craftspeople from all over Estonia.At Magasiait, you can purchase: lovely rugs, stylish ceramics, knitwear for the body, toes, and fingers, and a woman's best friend – jewelry. You can also find famous Estonian lace shawls, made by the skilled knitters of Haapsalu. One of the store's great prides is the selection of woven baskets, which extends from the floor almost to the ceiling in the large hall.The busy bees of Magasiait wish to make customers happy by offering a selection of gourmet items from home kitchens — "Magasiaida Talusahver." The menu includes special sauces and jams, including Sibulkad — uniquely flavored onion jams, herbal teas, and flavored salts. The highlight is locally grown lavender. There is also a corner dedicated to recycling, where you can find a piece of Estonian art history and a retro vibe. We welcome all craft enthusiasts!

The Toompood is located on the first floor of the University of Tartu Museum. The museum shop sells books about Toomemäe and Tartu Cathedral, the University of Tartu today and in the past, and scientific achievements, in addition to souvenirs, jewelry, and much more. The hand-made printed clothes and home textiles made in Peipsimaa Visitor Centre have been awarded with the ‘Certified Estonian Arisinal Craft’ mark, which is the highest recognition in Estonia.Our shop sells items inspired by the handicraft of Peipsimaa and Old Believers, such as hand-printed skirts and shirts, pottery, gold embroidery bags, rugs, Kodavere belts and gloves, and gold-plated magnet onions.
