Karu Holiday Home

Laiusevälja in Jõgeva County is an authentic Estonian village with fields of grazing animals and dusty roads in summer lined with stalks of grain. The courtyard of Karu Holiday Home is designed to look like it would have done last century, replete with apple tress and berry bushes.

Aidu Altar of Victory

The Aidu Altar of Victory is a memorial to the War of Independence.One of the most important battles of the War of Independence was held near the Aidu village in 1919. A memorial was opened on June 23, 1929, which was reopened 60 years later. This also marks the spot how far a soldier of the Red Army managed to invade.

Vana-Vastseliina manor park

The park in Vana-Vastseliina was established in 1830 by the then owner of Vastseliina Manor Guido Reinhold von Liphart, who designed a beautiful species-rich 8-hectare park. The bandstand has been preserved, where folk festivals take place. Bird lovers will be delighted by the rare species nesting in old tree cavities. You can also admire Estonia's fastest-flowing Piusa River.In 2016, 25 new trees were planted in the park, one of them in honour of the Lipharts.The 15 km long hiking trail of Piusa River valley starts from the park.The manor park can be reached from Vastseliina Episcopal Castle by coming down a romantic staircase or from the highway a little further away.

Soontaga hiking trail

The Soontaga hiking trail is located at Kiidjärve-Kooraste recreation area. The hiking trail runs along the typical Southern Estonian mixed forests and arrives at the Väike-Emajõgi river. The hiking trail, which can be completed on foot, runs in a circle.There are several information boards at the hiking trail, which describe the nature of the area. The beautiful bodies of water at the hiking trail are equipped with bridges. In addition to the hiking trail there is the Soontaga campsite with campfire places at the recreation area.If you visit the hiking trail during the season, you might find forest berries or mushrooms on our journey.

Paju Holiday Village

Paju Holiday Village is the ideal place for people who like to enjoy the nature during their holidays as it is just 300 m from Lake Pühajärv. The holiday village has a private holiday house with a sauna and a separate area with washing and utility rooms where people can pitch up their tents. It is suitable for family holidays. There are spaces for tents and camping opportunities and summer and there is also a roofed picnic area.

Monument to Nikolai Pirogov

The monument to the physician who studied and became a professor in Tartu was completed in 1952. The authors of the monument are J Raudsepp, A Mölder, P Tarvas, A Volberg.Nikolai Pirogov was the founder of experimental surgery, topographic anatomy and field surgery. His work made the surgeries performed in Tartu famous all over Russia and also abroad.

Wooden house at 24 Lai Street in Tartu

This baroque-style one-storey house, which has an attic floor and a rectangular floor plan, catches your eye when you walk past St. John's Church in Tartu. It is one of the oldest surviving wooden houses in the city. It was constructed from logs in 1725 by Pastor J. Arens Arensite of Nõo upon his return from exile to Russia. It was renovated in 1987.

Lake Pühajärv hiking trail

The hiking trail that encircles Lake Pühajärv starts near the centre of Otepää Nature Park. The 14 km trail takes you on a voyage of discovery around one of the most unique and beautiful lakes in Estonia. Covering the whole track takes from 3–6 hours. There are rest areas and barbecue sites along the way. Part of the track (approximately 2.2 km) runs along the Pühajärve–Kääriku exercise track by the Otepää–Kääriku highway. You can cover the track by foot or bike. Cyclists must bear in mind that there are parts of the track on which you will have to push your bike instead of riding it. The Angunina, Kiigemäe and Koolirand campfire sites are located on the trail. There, you can make a fire and camp.

Laisholm Pub, which is located on Estakaadi Street in Elva, is perfect for relaxing, having a hearty meal, and sipping a cold drink.The spacious hall of the pub is suitable for bigger and smaller company events, anniversaries, and other celebratory events.
