The Witch's Country offers a wide variety of activities for everyone - for the families and small groups, to birthday celebrators as well as bigger and smaller companies.When you wish to visit and spend the night in the world's smallest and most special country, then set your steps towards the Witch's Country in the Uhtjärve primeval valley. You will be greeted by the witch's family, who will introduce you the premises of the Witch's Country and share various legends. We also offer accommodation - cozy rooms in the main houses and for those, who desire for a little extremity, we have to offer a night in a unique house that sits on chicken legs.

Jõesuu Home Accommodation is located in the southern end of Lake Võrtsjärv in a private, scenic location by the Purtsi River. The first floor of the house has accommodation rooms of different sizes and comfort levels, a kitchen, and a fireplace hall. There are two bedrooms on the second floor of the sauna house with a fireplace room. In front of the house there is a terrace open to the evening sun and a campfire site by the river with shelter. The place is ideal for organising a small party or a group event.The waterway connection to the Little Emajõgi and Lake Võrtsjärv attracts fishermen and nature lovers. We rent a boat and canoes. Café-restaurant Suur Muna is located in Haanja Nature Park, right at the foot of the highest peak in the Baltics, Suur Munamäe, and is one of the most popular places to eat in South Estonia. The food is primarily made from local and organic ingredients sourced from farmers in Võru County, following the "farm to table" principle. The menu features local snacks, handmade ravioli and pasta, a variety of salads, fish dishes, lamb and game meats, and desserts. The Rõuge primeval valley, which is 10km long and 52m deep, contains seven lakes: Kahrila Lake, Tõugjärv, Ratasjärv, Kaussjärv, Rõuge Suurjärv, Liinjärv, and Valgjärv. The lakes are connected by the Rõuge or Ajo River, which starts from the Tindi valley. The side valleys of the Rõuge primeval valley are Tindi, Külm, Mõhk, Ööbikuorg, Tinopeetri, Hinni, Sikasoo, and Järveotsa valleys. The most famous of these is Ööbikuorg, which borders the ancient hillfort from the north. In spring, during the blossoming of bird cherry trees, the valley resonates with the song of nightingales – hence the name of the valley. Several hiking trails run through Rõuge, including the popular Ööbikuorg hiking trail, which takes visitors through the primeval valley, past lakes and springs. The trail is suitable for families with children and is partially accessible by bicycle. In summer, you can swim and paddle in the lakes, while in winter, the same trails are enjoyed by skiers and sledders. In the Rõuge settlement, there is also Estonia's deepest lake – Rõuge Suurjärv (38m) – and the largest Nature Clock in Estonia, whose hands mark the passage of time in nature's rhythm.Good to know: At the edge of Ööbikuorg, there is a visitor center and the Pesapuu observation tower, which offers a view of the entire valley.
