Humala Kalabaas is a home business offering services related to fishing and operating on the banks of the Emajõgi River. In addition to the fishing spot with an accommodation on the banks of the Emajõgi River and boat rental with the possibility of overnight stay, we offer the opportunity to rent a motorboat Amur with a driver, so that you can see with your own eyes the largest swamp of Emajõe Suursoo in all its glory. It is wild, beautiful, rich in species, isolated, and majestic. We will sail 25km to Praaga swamp village and, if the weather permits, also a little on Lake Peipsi. Sunrise, daytime and sunset tours are all possible. 1 trip max 4 people and about 2.5 hours. We offer rain clothes for 4 people.

Come and take a look at the one-storey classicist wooden building on the slope of Toomemägi in Tartu. Naturalist Karl Ernst von Baer used to live in the house from 1869 to 1896. The house was restored and turned into the Baer House Museum in 1976. The building currently belongs to the Estonian University of Life Sciences and houses the von Baer Natural History Centre.

Being in contact with nature, we feel how something inside us settles again. We conclude the journey together around the campfire, enjoying warm drinks and forest-inspired flavors. The journey is conducted with care and attention by Helen and Anneli, who have trained as forest bathing guides in Japan. The interactive exhibition at Alatskivi Castle's horse stable provides a good overview of manor life. The central part of the exhibition is a drawing of the Alatskivi Manor estate grounds, which explains the management and living environment of the entire complex. You will learn what role purebred dog breeding played in the manor, how forestry was managed, how much income Alatskivi Manor earned, and where the money came from to build the fairytale castle. The play corner with a beautiful replica of the castle and dolls will delight the youngest visitors. The horse stable is perfect for organizing concerts and events! Discover manor life inside the castle, too — bring your friends, family, and pets!

During the Tartu Nature House's natural cosmetics workshop, you can create hand and body creams, body scrubs, and lip balms with your preferred scent and composition. We mainly use organic and natural ingredients – unrefined oils, waxes, and other skin-friendly materials. In the workshop, we share practical advice on where to find high-quality natural cosmetics ingredients and what to look out for when selecting them. We also discuss the effects of cosmetic products on our skin, health, and the environment, and touch on waste.The workshop is organized on the principle that the tools and ingredients used are mostly already available at home or can be easily obtained. All participants receive a recipe sheet to make their favorite products at home. Workshops are held at the Tartu Nature House, but by agreement, we can also come to your event. Come and discover the joy of DIY and create your own natural cosmetics!

We will observe beavers on the Emajõgi River. The canoe trip is for small groups and includes an experienced guide who instructs on both the canoeing and beaver-watching.There are a lot of brave beavers on the Emajõgi River. If you act correctly, you can see them from very close up.The trip does not require any special ability or canoeing experience, which means it is also suitable for beginners. We have stable wide-bottomed hiking canoes that are very safe. Besides, the Emajõgi River is a calm river with no waterfalls or other obstacles in the way.

A kicksledding trip through Taevaskoja in South Estonia will take you to a true winter wonderland! The trip runs along the ancient valley of the Ahja River, past the Taevaskoja sandstone outcrops, through enchanting snowy forests, and past the beautiful, crisp Ahja River. The tour guide will tell exciting stories about nature and Taevaskoda and offer hot tea to warm you up. Parents and children are also welcome on the trip; the littlest ones can ride on the seats in front of the sleds. The trip is suitable for solo adventurers, families, and larger groups. The Kodavere Heritage Center in Tartu County breathes new life into the historical Pala Town Hall, which has been the heart of the local community for years. The center showcases the rich cultural heritage of the Peipsi region and is a place where old stories, languages, and traditions are revitalized. Visitors can gain a comprehensive overview of the history of Kodavere parish municipalities and town halls, and view the intriguing photo exhibition "People of Kodavere Parish in Oskar Tõrva's Glass Negatives," which reveals the everyday and festive life of rural areas a century ago. Additionally, they can admire the handicraft exhibition "Kodavere Kupuliud," highlighting the skills of local craftsmen and folk aesthetics. A separate display is dedicated to the Kodavere dialect, an essential part of the region's identity. The center also features a memorial room for poet Anna Haava and an exhibit "Song Festivals in Pala 100 Years Ago." Guided tours and heritage culture workshops are offered by reservation, suitable for both school groups and adults.
