Café-restaurant Suur Muna is located in Haanja Nature Park, right at the foot of the highest peak in the Baltics, Suur Munamäe, and is one of the most popular places to eat in South Estonia. The food is primarily made from local and organic ingredients sourced from farmers in Võru County, following the "farm to table" principle. The menu features local snacks, handmade ravioli and pasta, a variety of salads, fish dishes, lamb and game meats, and desserts. A monument to those, who fell in the War of Independence, was opened in Misso on 26 May 1935, and the activities of the 1st cavalry regiment in the battles of the War of Independence were immortalised. The monument was demolished in 1945.The reconstructed monument was reopened on 27 August 1989. The granite pillar placed on a base of quarry-stones is 2.5 m tall. Its main side has the symbol of the cavalry unit along with the text “Here, the 1st cavalry regiment fought in the War of Independence on 19 April 1919”. In front of the monument, there are six granite plates with the names of those that fell.A monument to World War II is erected only a few steps from the Monument to the War of Independence.

Kallaste, located in southern Estonia, has been a well-known fishing town for decades, and one of the largest fish farms on Estonia's largest lake, Lake Peipsi, is located here. Lake Peipsi is one of the most fish-rich lakes in Europe, and we sell and process fish caught directly from the lake. The shop has a large selection of smoked and frozen fish and fish products guaranteed to make your mouth water. The selection includes perch fillet slices in red marinade, hot-smoked bream in oil, and tšugudai made from raw cod fillet marinated in vinegar and onion. Rannapuura Fish Shop also offers fresh fish, depending on the season!

Põltsamaa Castle has been an important site throughout the centuries and carries a distinguished history – founded in 1272 on the riverbank, it was the residence of Magnus, the King of Livonia, and later evolved into a magnificent Rococo palace. Wars and fires left the castle in ruins, but now it has come back to life and is waiting for you to visit! Today, the castle offers visitors plenty of excitement. First and foremost, it is worth climbing to the viewing platform of the seven-story castle tower, where a captivating view of the city unfolds in every season. The tower is crowned by a restored historical dome, which is unique in all of Estonia. The church, located within the complex, is built directly into the castle's fortification walls and tower, and is open daily during the summer. The convent and gatehouse feature a modern exhibition that tells the colorful story of the castle and the town of Põltsamaa. In the castle courtyard, craft workshops await, where you can watch the work of masters or purchase something interesting yourself.
