Personal winemaking workshop in Murimäe Winery

Rehemäe, Otepää vald, Valga maakond, 67302

An extraordinary experience for friends or colleagues who appreciate exciting tastes and new experiences. We offer groups an exclusive opportunity to make one wine together (batch of 30 litres). Participants can combine different raw ingredients and techniques to create just the right wine. The winemaker helps and instructs and then, we leave the wine to mature for three to six months. We will design a personal label suitable for each bottle and bottle the finished wine, which we will deliver to you later. The visit also includes a tour of the vineyard and wine cellar.

Tartu Toy Museum

Tartu Toy Museum, situated in the Old Town of Tartu, takes adults back to the brighter days of their childhood and offers children plenty of interesting things to see and do.The permanent exhibition displays toys that Estonian children have played with throughout the years. Artist-made dolls, souvenir dolls of different nations, and Finno-Ugric traditional toys are also exhibited. Playrooms and workshops are also open. You can see puppets from Estonian puppet films and temporary exhibitions in the outbuilding. The museum also has a theatre building named ’Teatri kodu’ (The Home of Theatre) with a theatre hall, a museum of puppets, and a children’s studio.

University of Tartu Art Museum

The University of Tartu Art Museum is located in the historical University Main Building and has Pompeian-style interior. The museum’s permanent exhibition consists of sculptures, mostly from the antiquity – original size plaster cast copies of the best works of Archaic, Classical, and Hellenistic Greece. The Art Museum also displays many ancient originals: coins, vases, clay lamps, and cuneiform tablets. There is also the mysterious mummy chamber, where you can find a genuine Egyptian mummy. You can also visit the beautiful Assembly Hall of the university and the student lock-up in the attic.

Barbecue and beer workshop at Anderson Brewery

Anderson Brewery in Tartu offers an excellent opportunity to participate in a barbecue and beer workshop, where you can enjoy grilled meat and taste Estonian craft beers! The workshop will teach you the basics of grilling, such as choosing meat, grilling beef and duck breast fillets, and making chimichurri herb sauce. During the brewery tour, we will taste eight different beers, learn about the history of beer, get acquainted with the brewing process, and explore the factory shop and the backstage of the brewery. Värska Farm Museum

Värska Farm Museum is a unique place in Setomaa, offering comprehensive insight into the life of a wealthy Seto fortified farm in the 1920s. It is a great place to experience Seto culture, architecture, and traditions. The building complex includes a smoke sauna, a residential building, a clothing, dining and granary barn, an animal barn, a hay barn, a men's workshop, a threshing floor, a blacksmith's shop, and a pottery factory — you can get an overview of the entire Seto architecture. The museum also houses genuine Estonian farm animals. Various workshops are offered upon reservation, such as making sõir, bread making, and crocheting Seto lace, among others.
