An exciting canoe trip along the border of the European Union!Canoeing is a convenient and very exciting way to discover the world. The trip on the border of the European Union runs along the middle course of the Piusa River, the section passing through Estonia. There are three rapids and mills on the river that offer a little bit of excitement, but in general, the path is also passable for beginners. The middle course of Piusa River is passable in mid-summer as well, so take a refreshing trip in the hot summer of South Estonia! The longest River in Estonia - Võhandu (162 km) flows through Võru and Põlva County in its beautiful and abrupt bed surrounded by sandstone outcrops. An elaborate 80 km independent canoe hike, kayak hike or raft hike is suitable for both families and friends to familiarize themselves with Estonian nature. Hikers move on their own, designing their own hiking day, movement schedule and journey length. Overnight in tents, meals are made on Primus. The tips and additional materials required for the hike can be obtained by ordering and hiking from the hiking guide at the starting location. The hotspots can be viewed on the RMK website.
Pühajõgi is the upper course of the River Võhandu that is upstream from the town of Võru. This stretch of river has not been used much for water travel until now. Now, it has been cleaned and waiting to be discovered!The trip goes along the river with clear water and many small rapids.Route and length: Kärgula–Hutita 3.5 hours (13 km). Minimum size of the group: 10 people; smaller groups can join scheduled trips.Maximum size of the group: 90 people.Price: canoe trip €20 per person and kayak trip €22 per person.Price for children: €12 per person (6–16 years).Price includes: canoe or kayak rental and transportation of equipment, safety equipment, instructions and securing the trip from the river banks.
